Pretty rare JCW Convertible Mini that need to be mechanically repaired. It has nearly every option, including the rare advanced dash, backup sensors, cold weather, leatherette seats, etc plus after market bluetooth. Convertible top is in great condition and has no leaks at all (super important in seattle!).
The car was running perfectly, but sat for about 2mo (I bought a new car), after which, it has been a mechanical disaster. It will start and run, but will go into limp mode if you let it drop below ~1500 RPM. It also seems like it needs more than ~20% throttle to "engage". I have had it at two different mechanics and the current belief is that it needs a new DME/ECU, as the actual throttle is getting intermittent input. Again, it can run and drive, if you are mindful of throttle position, but I wouldn"t drive it far!
As to history, car has a rebuilt title from a *minor* rear end accident at ~142k miles - so minor, that the actual rear bumper was just repainted and put back on. Since that time, I put 20k+ miles on it with no issues from the accident. In the last two years, I have replaced the front brakes, most vacuum lines, a front CV axle, the brake reservoir, and more. It has had regular synthetic oil changes and other typical maintenance.
The car has multiple dings (the car was in Seattle every day!) which I tried to show in the pictures. The car also has significant scuffs / rubs on the drivers side plastic fender covers - I tried to capture them in the pictures. On the inside, everything works as it should except brake sensor light is on - I believe the wear sensor didn"t reset, but I haven"t re-replaced it - but the front brakes are near new. Also, the drivers side upper seat stitching has come undone, but hasn"t spread in 10K+ miles.
