Welcome to the details/description section. I"m sure you"ve noticed that you are looking at a 2008 MINI Cooper already, but you may be asking yourself "Why should I purchase this one?"
I can"t make that decision for you, but I can help. .
We have had this Cooper since 02/12/2015, My wife has been driving the car starting at 58,433 miles and now we need something larger to fit the family and a friend and whatever gear everyone has.
I am a Re-certified ASE Master Automobile Technician(not the dirty mechanic driving a car that may stop moving at any time) who specializes in European vehicles, and I have kept this MINI clean and running excellent the whole time. When we bought the car(from a customer who decided she would like to drive something else) I replaced the timing chain right away. Aside from normal maintenance of brakes, tires, oil changes, etc, here are some of the other items we have replaced: rear hatch open button/handle, oil filter stand seal, valve cover and valve cover gasket, sway bar links(front), oil pan gasket, valve stem seals, plus a few more misc items.
This Coopers body is in great condition. It is used so it does have a couple paint chips which is normal for any car but overall a very, very good looking MINI. It is Lightning Blue Metallic with White stripes on the hood.
The interior is excellent. No holes or tears. Windows and sunroof all work good. It has the nice, more comfortable seats with the white piping. All weather floor mats are in the front.
Now lets talk packages. This MINI has the following packages that were offered at the time:
Sport Package with Sports suspension, 16-inch wheels, stability control, and bonnet(hood) stripes; Convenience Package with rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights, Bluetooth, and multi-function sports steering wheel; Cold Weather Package with heated front seats, power folding mirrors, and heated washer jets; and Premium Package with a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, and high-fidelity radio.
As far as safety equipment, you should feel assured with six airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS), Electronic Brake Force Distribution, and Cornering Brake Control. The Brake Assistant detects emergency operation of the brakes, and builds up maximum brake pressure as quickly as possible. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC). Hill Assist start-off assistance is a feature of DSC, activating the brakes when starting on an uphill ascent to prevent the car from rolling back(very handy, this one).
