Vehicle description
One owner MazdaSpeed 3 with LOW LOW miles. I bought this car new in November 2007 and it has always been in California. Complete service records.
This is the best year of the Speed3! Car is in very good shape, but has the normal small scratches for a vehicle this age. One small dent on the roof, rear bumper has some scratches as does driver front fender (all small see pics). Paint is in good shape, some oxidation on headlights and spoiler which is plastic.
Mechanically the car is very sound. Has two issues normal for this model. First is the driver side door lock sometimes does not work with the remote, so you have to use the key. Mechanism can be easily replaced to fix this. I didn"t think it was worth a 200 part. Second is sometimes on first cold start of the day it will trip a "check engine" light because of the cold air intake. This is the factory CAI made by AEM, installed by the dealer. You can look this up and see it is a very common thing. The mass airflow sensor gets confused on cold starts. I use an OBD tool to reset the light. There is nothing wrong, it is just the sensor getting more air than expected on start. Car also has a Borla catback exhaust. Both the CAI and exhaust are CARB legal.
Inspections must be done before end of auction. Car is sold AS-IS.
