Mazda MX-5 Miata . Condition is Used. Up for auction is a low mileage 2008 Mazda MX5 GT PRHT (power retractable hardtop) with 6 speed manual transmission, stormy blue mica paint, and a tan leather interior. The car has the following dealer new car options: (1) Premium Package (anti-theft alarm,keyless entry, xenon headlights, DSC traction control), (2) Appearance Package1 (front air dam, side skirts, rear under skirt), and (3) Suspension Package (sport tuned suspension, Bilstein shocks, limited slip differential) and Bose 6 discin-dash changer. The car comes with an additional $5,000 (excluding labor and taxes) in professional installed appearance and performance upgrades. Performance enhancements include: (1) Miata Ohlin Suspension kit/coilovers which greatly improved ride quality and handling – well worth the cost ($2,687) and effort. The car was corner balanced and aligned after the Ohlins installed. At the current settings, the car handles incredible well on the street and rides much better than stock. (2) Mazdaspeed front and rear sway bars/bushings (3) Mazdaspeedcold air intake, (4) GoodwinRacing Roadstersport mid-pipe ($425) (5) Mazdaspeed front tower brace, (6) MazdaSport spring and last but not least (7) a Lariniexhaust ($700), normally installed on high end exotic, enhances performance with an enjoyable exhaust note. Interior/exterior upgrades include: (1) dealer tinted windows,(2) rear brake/signal tints in red – subdued the flashy stock unit, (3) matte black roll hoop cover – subdued the flashy silver, (4) color match door guards,(5) wood grain dash, (6) Zeta padded center console, (7) wheel locks, (8) twin tone air horn, (9) dealer installed stereo aux connection, and (10) Miata all weather floor mats (carpet maps stored/excellent shape). The car has been garage kept/covered and maintained following Mazda service interval requirements including annual oil changes (synthetic). Although the 28,000 miles is low for a 2008, the car is driven regularly (mostly highway and rural roads). The car is mechanically sound with no outstanding issues of which I am aware. The interior and exterior are in great shape given the age. Car has not been smoked in and the interior has been maintained with high quality leather cleaner and conditioners. I prefer to drive top up so interior has not been overexposed to sun. The car has not received any major damage inside or out. As with any regularly driven 12 year old car,there are few very small and minor nicks. Otherwise, the external paint and interior are in excellent condition. A front end Miata car bra has been on the car since purchase. The stubby antenna is cracked but works fine ($15 to $25 replacement) and the tint on passenger side window is "blurring" slightly in one corner. Windshield visors are a bit floppy (common problem). Because the small visors are pretty useless and rarely needed, I"ve been using a bit of Blu Tac putty adhesive to keep them up and tight. Miata owner forums offer other inexpensive fixes. Could be easily replaced ($75 each for whole unit) if you are just a bit handy. The car is being sold “as is” with no warranty written or implied.
