2008 Lincoln MKX AWD all wheel drive Limited Edition. This version includes 20 inch chrome wheels, heated power memory seats, dual panoramic power moon roof, power lift gate, dual chrome exhaust tips, adaptive front headlights that move, reverse sensing warning beep, and Microsoft Sync with USB port in console. Other standard features include leather interior seats and entry keypad.
This 2008 MKX is mechanically sound. It has the ford V6 Duratec engine with 164, 550 miles on it. These engines are very reliable, BUT all Duratec engines from 2007 thru 2012 have water pumps driven off the timing chain! That part costs thousands of dollars to replace!
This MKX has had all that expensive labor done just weeks ago. It"s good for another 160,000. The other major part just replaced were both rear end bearing and hub assemblys. This is also a very expensive job if dealer installed.
So, bid with confidence. This is a beautiful SUV in great shape.
My list of recent new parts includes the new water pump, all new supporting timing chains, guides, gaskets, and a brand new timing chain cover. Other engine related parts replaced are valve cover gaskets, spark plugs(not cheap to replace), new oil and antifreeze. As stated above, both rear end bearing hubs are new, so there is no excessive road noise that this Ford platform is known for(Ford Edge, MKX, MKZ).
This is a luxury SUV that originally cost $42,000. It is really just a 1 owner car, has the Limited Edition package, has been well maintained, as is ready to go anywhere and give reliable transportation.
