2008 Jaguar XJ8 Vanden Plas ! It took me a while to find a Vanden Plas, in this rare color in the 08-09 model, which had the Chrome side vents. This car has the side blinds along with the powered Rear window blinds, which is another option not found on most Jags. I almost settled for a regular LWB, but I finally found this one! ! Last of the true Jaguar body style, and it really seems to be a nice car. I found it here on Ebay, and bought it the same day I found it. With my new job taking a complete 360 recently, I"ll be leaving the office and moving out in the field, which leaves me needing a truck here pretty soon. This is only reason I am selling it. I will not be mad if I have to keep due to not getting what I want for it, as it is a great running and looking car. Classic, Classy, and Smooth ride!
CONDITION: Car Exterior is very nice. . Paint looks to be in very good condition, with no signs of fade or body work. The Interior is just as nice as the Exterior as you can see in the photos. Wood trim is perfect, with no fading or discoloration that you sometimes find in these cars. Has original thick floor mats and nice supple leather interior with no cracks or tears. Tires have 85-90% Tread, as the dealer I bought the car from replaced them. Wheels look great as well! Sunroof, both power seats, AC, Heater, all buttoms on dash, work as it should with no problems so far.
MECHANICAL: The Car runs great! No weird noises or feeling, as it runs quiet and shifts smooth as new. No jerks, leaks, pinging, or suspension airbag issues. All lights work, has Xenon headlights with nice clear lenses. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. I"ve taken it on a trip to my hometown, which is about 400 miles round trip, and I am now driving it occasionally on an outing here and there, but it is driven very little with new position at work. Suspension seems good, and is still the original system. I work offshore and was gone for 2 months. When I came back, car was not sagging or leaning, which tells me there are no leaks of any kind. If it ever went out, I was going to go with the coil conversion. But until that time, stock is the way to go. There are no check engine lights on. . . If you live in Texas, then the inspection was just done, and good for a year!
Things it needs : The airbag light is on, and from what I"ve been told is the Clock spring. I have ordered an OEM clock spring and will be replacing this next week. This may or may not affect the function of the airbags, but it does trigger the light on dash. If the clock-spring does not solve the issue, I will sell car with light on, and will be buyers responsibility to fix it if you want it fixed. The 8" Factory Subwoofers sound like they need replacing, so I have bought a replacement but have not got them installed, but will come with car. There is nothing that this car needs that will affect this car from being a good daily or weekend or roadtrip car.
Conclusion : If you are looking for a clean, rare colored, highly sought after Jaguar VDP, this is it. Its not your typical Black, White, or Gold Jag, which are all nice, but just doesn"t stand out like this light blue Vanden Plas. Shipping is your responsibility, but I can be present to witness it being loaded. I do drive this car, so miles (84,111) could change by the time it is sold. TITLE IS CLEAR AND IN MY NAME! I have addressed a couple of questions people had from previous post.
