This stunning, silver -over-black Jaguar XJ, offered for the first time by a true Jag Lover. I have owned Jaguars continuously since 1989, and this is the finest of them all. I hate to part with her, but I have too many cars and need to make room for my old 66 E-Type which is headed back to me. This fine motorcar deserves a loving owner who will drive her more than once a week. This car was my daily driver for a number of years, and she has been relaxing the last two years or so, with drives weekly since. The drive and handling for this car, given it"s size and weight, is extremely agile and nimble, what a super driver!
I have recently made a number of mechanical and cosmetic repairs to the car, with the thought that she would stay in my stable. But, she needs more driving than I can provide. If you"re a car guy or gal, you know the best thing for these cars is exercise!
It is remarkable that this car is 12 years old. To a lay person, they would think the car is brand new!
On the body, the only blemish is a small dimple in the leading edge of the roof (from a falling palm frond) and some very minor surface scratches near the drivers door handle. That"s it! No other dimples, scratches or blemishes. This passenger side of the car had some body work and repaint from a community gate closing on the right side of the car about a year ago. The work was done Richard Hoffman of Hoffman Tuning of Fort Myers, who also recently replaced the the front rotors and brakes and a headlight. He is available to call with any questions on the car. The paint has been clay barred and is smooth and slippery. The silver metallic sparkles in the sun.
Mechanically, the following work has recently been done:
New Pirelli P Zero Tires New Arnott front air shocks New front rotors and brakes Oil change Replace thermostat Brake flush Replace vacuum hose for fuel sensor 4 wheel alignment Replaced intake manifold gasket Replaced battery New headlight bulbs
All options and components work as they should, from the retro analog clock to the ice-cold A/C. The windows are tinted dark enough to protect from the Florida sun, but not to dark for nighttime driving. The supple black leather is in superb condition, as are the dark walnut wood veneers.
Once entering the cabin, you smell that "Jaguar Smell" of rich leather and wood. The car world knows that Jaguar has the most exquisite interiors!
