Offered for auction is a 2008 Ford F150 Super Crew Lariat 4x4 with a 5.4 V-8 This vehicle runs good for about 15 minutes, then it develops a misfire and has a exhaust leak/noise, and has an oil leak that leaves a puddle. My regular mechanic is booked solid for weeks, so I had another mechanic look at it and he put in a new set of plugs, but that didn"t seem to help. He mainly works on GM vehicles and is not that experienced working on Fords. He did pull 4 codes: 1) P0340 Camshaft position senor a circuit bank1, 2) P0340 Camshaft position sensor a circuit, 3) P0022 Camshaft position timing over retarded Bank2, 4) P0012 Camshaft position timing over retarded Bank1. After hearing "it could be this or it might be that", rather than just guessing and throwing money at it, I have decided to sell it to someone that has the ability to fix it them self. Please do not buy unless you are a experienced mechanic or to be safe, figure it needs an engine. Overall, the truck is in good shape. It does have a rusty rear bumper, tailgate and some small rusted holes in the bed and some small rust bubbles around the right rear wheel arch (see photos). Like any vehicle of this year and mileage, you will find misc. minor nicks, dings and scratches. it will need tires, a right side mirror glass and thee radio does not work. This truck is a fully loaded Lariat with leather and a moonroof. It even has a back up cam in the rearview mirror, with a little work you will have a great truck at a fraction of replacement cost. Shop around, you won"t find anything like this at this price!
