Vehicle description
This is one of the rarest 2nd generation Dodge Magnums built and is one of only 67 rear wheel drive Magnums produced for 2008 with the 29A Police Package, hemi-powered, in brilliant black crystal pearl coat paint. Making it even more unique among the 67 built is the optional 8-way power drivers seat, rear cargo cover, full carpeting, trailer tow prep group, and driver spot light. There were no police Magnums built during 2005 but during the production years 2006 thru 2008, a total of 696 Police Magnums were produced, 446 of which were hemi-powered. According to Dodge Customer Care records, 153 Dodge Magnum Police RWD units equipped with the 5.7 L hemi were built for the 2008 model year.
This Magnum Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) was built at the Brampton, Ontario, Canada assembly plant on or about November 14, 2007, just 13 days after Chrysler Chairman and CEO Bob Nardelli made the announcement that it would be ending production of the Magnum model in the spring of 2008. It was delivered to Hinkley Dodge in Ogden, Utah on or about December 5, 2007. According to the vehicle"s AutoCheck Vehicle History Report, it was first titled on or about December 26, 2007 to the State of Utah"s Department of Corrections and was likely assigned as a Corrections Officer administrative vehicle. It remained with that department until its ownership was transferred to a private owner in Mesa, Arizona on April 2, 2015 with 77,302 miles. I became its 3rd owner on September 15, 2015 with 83,740 miles on the odometer and have put less than 2,000 miles on it since then, hence my reason for letting someone else enjoy it now as much as I have.
During my nearly 6 years of ownership, I have replaced the Oil Pressure Switch, Battery, Integrated Power Control Module (fuse box), Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor, EVAP Cannister Purge Valve, Fuel Cap, and Instrument Cluster (with reprogrammed correct odometer reading). I have also had the police-duty Front Brake Calipers, Pads, Hoses and Fluid replaced along with the oil and filter within the last 100 miles.
The stealth-black Magnum comes with it"s original Build Manifest, never installed MSRP ($32,420) window sticker, owners manuals, original full wheel covers, Hinkley Dodge license plate frame, and the police duty center console installed by the Utah Department of Corrections that has since been replaced with a civilian console by the 2nd owner. A copy of the AutoCheck report will also be furnished to the new owner along with 3 keyless remote key fobs plus 3 valet keys.
This vehicle is being sold "AS IS/WHERE IS" so please ask any and all questions prior to placing a bid. It should be noted that this Magnum has had all the factory recalls accomplished. The buyer is fully responsible for shipping and I can assist with transporter pick up arrangements.
I reserve the right to end this auction early as I have the car for sale locally so I recommend you place your bid early if you are serious about owning this rare hemi-powered Dodge Magnum PPV.
