“Good dependable family van. high mileage but impeccable service history (documented) I bought it from the family that custom ordered it. I intended to swap out the motor with a 2013 pentastar engine but was told the original motor has very good compression still, uses NO OIL and has many more miles of service left. I ended up selling the pentastar Chrysler motor to Discount taxi. They told me these 3.8 Chrysler engines routinely go 400.000 or more miles before a swap out is necessary. Keeping the oil always pure synthetic and never over 3000 miles, never letting the motor get hot and running sea foam (?) through the tank every quarter. I will list the things I have replaced just to strengthen this vehicle because my wounded warrior son is transferred to the Veterans Hospital routinely for therapy .New transmission $3.350.19 Car in storage and back in service January 2014 I had the van serviced last week and asked about a "squeek" needs two rubber bushings @ $7 each..Two sets keys.”

Vehicle description

I bought this for a veteran in the family who sustained burns in Afghanistan and needed a vehicle that could lay flat with an air mattress for trips to the Veterans Hospital for P.T. and O.T. The mileage freaked me out but the guy who owned it told me it had impeccable records and was a one owner van, his next door neighbor in fact, in rural MO. He bought it because he is a john deer dealer and though he could put it to work, but it ended up just setting. I have pretty much EVERY SERVICE RECORD INCLUDING THE WINDOW STICKER (special order) from the dealer. Fully loaded! even a blue fiber optic factory option ceiling halo that gently glows. Overhead A/C in the rear. Our intention was to have a late model engine replace this one, our friend called me and said the compression was quite acceptable in this original motor and it was many years from needing to be replaced, he said to call any taxi co. and verify that these Chrysler 3.8 motors will go 400K and better in fleets if they are maintained and not overheated. I called Discount Cab in Phoenix., sold the pentastar, he was right! So he did a heavy tune up with plugs, wires, coils, a new radiator, fuel service, A/C service.New HD battery Transmission was replaced by AAMCO (have receipts) but the three year unlimited mileage package has expired. Always full synthetic oil from day one! all receipts on hand.
From the time I got it home, I have virtually rebuilt this van. including but not limited to : all brakes, struts, shocks, hubs W/bearings, axels R & L including boots and CV joints. Ball joints, Upper and Lower, ALL front suspension except rack, its been replaced before. New windshield and full tint, chrome accessory package. You have not seen a grille like this before, because its the only one in existence and I paid $500. New headlamps,
TIRES! I took off the ones on it and special ordered from discount tire 4 brand new MICHELIN SYMMETRY 225 70R16 S" $600 with lifetime warranty. I have these very same tires on my Mercedes S and its like magic in bad conditions.
Radio: I spent a total of $800. from crutchfield.com on a new CD-DVD-BACK UP ,CAMERA -and the unit has far more things like serius XM , a navigational system, touch screen this and that, telephone hookup, etc. I plan to keep that and reinstall the factory am fm cd player.IF I"m offered $4200 ill send it along with both units, and the original boxes. it cost $225 to rewire the van to accept all this new CAD BUS technology . Overhead bins are empty but could be very easily equipped with screens . track lighting everyplace, DOES not use any oil! I just went to san Antonio Brooks Medical Center and back and measured , no usage in-between 3K or less between changes. it does drip from the valve cover but its allowed to!. photos of many receipts to follow. New legal tint, new windshield (free tint) I have the roof rack cross members but took off because of wind noise, they will be back on for new owner.
