Vehicle description

I bought the car in a little suburb of Chicago. Before I bought it I looked at the car fax report and it stated there was a minor incident which caused front end damage. I saw no damage when I got there, and I drove it when I got there and the guy who was selling it stated that it had been his brothers vehicle and that the brother had died of a massive heart attack. I negotiated a price on the vehicle and bought it as is and drove it home that day, Chicago to Austin Texas without incident (YES, Straight through ) I took it to a shop here a few days later and they examined it and told me there were some bent parts in the steering and suspension and I had them replaced at that time, front end aligned and then had the brake work done just to make certain it tracked straight and true. I have now driven the vehicle at speeds in excess of 120 and she is straight and true. When I had the billet grille put in, the body shop guy said that the front bumper cover had been taken off and reinstalled and was not lined up so they re-installed it and adjusted it and it seems to line up ok now. There was no sign of any structural damage or any replaced brackets or repairs to the core support or anything else. No new bolts or anything else and the bumper cover appears to be the original so there is no way of knowing what that was all about. The previous owner was such a heavy smoker that he died at the age of 52 from a massive heart attack. I am an ex-smoker and I thought I could stand the smoke odor but I couldn’t and my wife certainly couldn"t, so I tried the Ozone bombs, three times, and they did not get rid of the odor. I had found a wrecked 2008 Heritage edition and it had perfect seats so I bought the seats out of it and changed out the seats with this one and then had the carpet and headliner in this one replaced and that got rid of the smoke odor. The car appears to be mechanically sound, the low mileage has been tracked and also appears to be correct and I really can’t find any evidence that there was ever an accident in the vehicle and neither can my body shop guy or the front end mechanic and at this point I can’t even tell how much of what is on-line about this car is conjecture and how much of it has something to do with the work I have done on it. You are welcome to have an inspector come out and inspect the vehicle if you want, and I will also provide the Car Fax report I got before I bought it. Just give me notice because I drive it all the time.
