FOR REPAIR OR PARTS Let me start out saying first of all that I purchased this vehicle on ebay from a “Dealer” back in February 2018. Many things were not disclosed about the car and only found out about them over time.I am listing this vehicle for sale now and I will try to be as honest as possible and describe any problems or issues.
1. Had an issue soon after purchase with the oil pressure light going off. Ended up taking it to a VW dealer (Diehl in Butler, PA) and was told there was metal in the oil (although my mechanic could not find anything) excessive clearance in the engine and it would only get worse. I have continued to drive the car over last three years.(less than 2000 miles) The oil pressure light would come on from time to time but did go out quickly so I just put up with it. Not worth putting in a new or rebuilt engine. No real pattern to when the light would go off, Some times would not hear it after 60 miles of driving then other times it would go off numerous times on short trips.I had a new oil pressure sensor installed hoping this was the issue, (may 11, 2018) but problem did resurface, When my local mechanic installed this unit, they found no sign of metal in the motor oil. They found no indication that the top of the motor was not getting proper oiling, There is oil blow by in the air induction system
2. Engine does have oil leaks but does not burn oil
3. Replaced Bosal front pipe with converter (two piece system) March 7, 2018
4. Replaced rear coil spring Oct 2018
5. Right and left front lower control arms with ball joints, mounting bushings installed March 6, 2019
6. Installed front and rear brake pads, rotors, etc August 13, 2019
7. Replaced left rear caliper with electric parking brake actuator + purchased two new front tires May 6, 2020 Car passed state inspection at that time
8. New battery installed April 2020
Now getting to the reason for selling. Car once it warms up it is now experiencing transmission issues, slipping, etc or even slamming when shifting, It will sometimes fall into neutral between 3rd and 4th gears. If it didn’t have the oil pressure issues I probably would have considered a transmission repair
Overall the car is in decent condtion. Does have the normal wear and tear on the outside and inside. No body rust and the leather seats (front and back) are in good condition
CAR IS SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS NO WARRANTY
