Vehicle description

2007 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 Sedan 3VWGG71K27M055976 157,800 miles 2.5 Liter 5 cylinder 5-speed manual transmission Front wheel drive 3118 pounds 25 MPG city/30 MPG highway Inspected in the state of NY until April 2020
I am the third owner of this vehicle. The first owner had it until April of 2018, when it was purchased by a close friend, a VW technician. He owned it for one year, and put approximately 2,000 miles on the car. I purchased it from him in April of this year, 2019. Mileage will increase daily (20-50 miles a day). CLEAN NEW YORK STATE TITLE. No liens, no thefts, no floods. Two sets of keys, and manual included. Car is for sale locally on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace, I reserve the right to end at any time before the official end of the auction.
2007 VW Jetta 2.5 sedan. Great shape for its age, only surface rust present on the body/panels is some bubbling in one spot on the lower part of the hood (pictured). Small crease in the driver’s door, but no paint chipping/peeling. Has a few scratches on the bumper near the trunk, and on top of the trunk, but nothing major. A good wax or just a simple waxing spray would do it well, but the paint still shines and looks good for being 12 years old.
The 2.5 liter still pulls very well, and has the great 5-cylinder burble. The 5-speed is strong, shifts through the gears with zero issues, reverse works perfectly fine, the manual e-brake also works perfectly fine. Clutch feels great, no slipping, no noises, no awful clutch smells. Cruise control works as well. Has TPMS, the TPMS sensors in the current wheels are not made for this generation, as the wheels are newer VW wheels. Drives straight, aligned at VW by previous owner last year. Takes 87 octane, no expensive gas necessary.
Comes with a set of Nexen summer tires or Blizzak snows (whichever I have on the car at the time of sale) mounted on 2012 VW CC 17x8” wheels. Wheels and tires balance, no wobbles, shakes, or vibrations. Suspension feels good, no wandering. The car is 150,000 miles old, so, don"t expect this thing to handle like a race car, but, it does seem to be pretty nice for its age. TPMS light is on, as these wheels do not have the MK5 generation TPMS sensors in them (these wheels are off of a car 5 years newer as stated earlier). It"s no big thing, it can be turned off if it bugged you. Or, you could just get TPMS sensors for the wheels.
This was one of the last years with an ASR (Anti Slip Regulator) traction control ON/OFF button. Cool and fun feature for those who enjoy spirited driving.
No CELs, no leaks, no smells, no burning. Oil replaced at proper intervals. I purchased a set of spark plugs for it today, and will include them with the sale, or install them myself.
Rear wheel bearings and front sway endlinks replaced in April of this year. Oxygen sensor and rear e-brake cable replaced last year by PO.
Rotors and calipers on all 4 axles, no rear drums to deal with.
The interior is very clean. NON SMOKER! Cloth seats, no cold leather in the winter, or sticky hot leather in summer. Stock VW MK5 GTI rubber Monster floor mats, Monster trunk mat. Electric automatic windows, electric mirrors, mirror defroster. Has multiple 12V outlets, AUX input, Bluetooth AUX hookup, CD player, radio works as it should. Manual seats. Everything is still illuminated, no pixeling on the dash, no pixeling on the radio screen. Interior dome halogen bulbs have been replaced with brighter LED bulbs for better vision. Heater, AC, front and rear defroster all work. All blinkers, tail lights, and headlights work. Full size spare tire and steel wheel are still in the trunk.
Underside is clean, no major rust or rotting anywhere, the car must have been washed during the winter regularly.
Body is straight, scratches and small dings here and there, expected for a 12 year old vehicle. No cracks in any glass, everything is still sealed properly, there is no moisture that leaks into the car during car washes or rain.
I purchased this car from a close friend who is a VW technician. He initially bought it for his newly licensed 17 year old daughter to drive, but she’s not into the manual. He owned it less than 2,000 miles, just using it as a daily driver every once in a while. Before he owned it, it was serviced at the VW dealership where he is the head technician.
I purchased it from him as a daily driver for a little bit of time, and I"m getting something with 4WD/AWD, so this must go to help fund that purchase. This truly is a fun car to drive as well, it’s got a decent amount of torque, very little body roll, and the 5-speed makes it even more of a treat. It’s also fairly light at only 3,118 pounds.
This would make an amazing ride service vehicle. I have the car registered to drive with Uber, and even have an Uber sticker on the front windshield. It has the creature comforts that most other cars today have, gets great gas mileage, and has a good amount of room.
This vehicle is being sold in AS-IS condition. There is NO existing warranty, there are no returns, there is no "Cool Down" phase.
I WILL NOT ship this vehicle. I am located in Buffalo, New York, 14227. I will pick the buyer up from the local airport - Buffalo-Niagara International in Cheektowaga, or the local train station - Amtrak Dick Road location in Depew.
