New reman engine from Allpro Subaru in Alpharetta Georgia These are the guys the local Subaru dealerships send cars to when they can"t solve problems A simple Google search will impress Subaru Factory shortblock with 300 miles Engine has 12M/12000 mile transferrable warranty Upgraded New Subaru VF52 Turbo with Cobb Up Pipe Opensource Protune performed by DBW Motorsport Again, just Google these guys Have Invoice and receipt paperwork dated 3/9/2018 totaling over $5500 for new engine
With regard to the "multiple owners" of this car, as you can see in the vehicle history report, this car had 2 owners basically up to its present mileage of 150,000. Being a mechanic myself, I can see what has played out with this car. There was an engineering mistake with these model engines where a screen was placed in the turbo oil supply line intended to keep contaminates out of the turbo. However, over time these screens become clogged, starving the turbo of oil and burning them up. As is the case with this car. I suspect the 2nd owner experienced this, traded the car to a dealership (the 3rd owner) who sold it at auction to the used car lot (4th owner) who sold it to me (5th owner) on eBay in December 2016. All the while having this oil line problem. Subsequently, the turbo the car lot replaced failed during the 12 hour drive home. After extensive research identifying the problem and searching for a resolution, everyone in the business pointed me to Allpro Subaru. Now this car is the happy recipient of a new reman engine with a NEW Subaru VF52 turbo ($1300) and oil supply line that has had the faulty screens removed to ensure the turbo has an endless supply of oil. Expect great things from this engine. So then why am I selling the car? Allpro Subaru had an extended wait period before they could get to the vehicle. Which, by the way, was worth the wait. However, I was forced to make other transportation arrangements in the interim that now I"m happy with long term.
