Vehicle description
2007 Mazda 3, 4 door sedan with grey exterior and black cloth interior, listed in good condition. This is a one owner vehicle with approximately 49,000 miles, all on the original engine and transmission. The exterior does has some "dimples" on the hood and roof from fruit which fell from a monkey ball tree when our son had his car parked in his lot during his college years. The dimples are cosmetic in appearance and do not impact the performance of the car. There is also a small scratch (2 inches) on the left front quarter panel (see driver side door photo).
The only mechanical issue we have had with the car involves the park neutral sensor. Infrequently, the engine will not turn over. Simply, moving the gear shift from "park" to "neutral" and then back to start always results in the car then starting. The sensor has been replaced twice, once by a Mazda dealer and once by AAMCO. We have been told that in addition to the sensor, there is a sliding mechanism that must be in the right position or the car assumes the transmission is not in "park". AAMCO seems to have gotten it almost perfect in alignment, but we have had one instance of the car not starting this year.
The car has lots of pickup and gets an average of about 27-28 mpg. Tires have approximately 1/4 inch tread life remaining. Brakes were replaced about 15,000 miles ago. Interior has no blemishes.
Winning bidder has the right to have a local mechanic (local to Hillsborough, NJ) inspect vehicle after paying deposit and completing such inspection within 7 days of winning bid and at winning bidder"s expense, to confirm condition of the vehicle.
