I"m a retired Ford Motor Company executive and I"m selling my two Shelby"s. This 2007 GTH convertible is a very rare and sought after Shelby. In 2007 there were 500 made, all convertibles with automatic transmissions. They were manufactured in Dearborn and shipped to Shelby Enterprises in Las Vegas where they received several modifications including the Ford Racing Performance Package 1, cold air induction, performance engine/body brace, upgraded suspension parts, modified exhaust, roll bar and 3:55 gears. Horsepower was rated at a very conservative 325. Most of the car magazines of the day figured the rating was closer to 400. This particular car has never been raced but Motor Trend tested it and it ran the quarter mile in 13.6. Also Hertz asked Shelby to modify the traction control switch to remain on at all times. After doing it"s time in the Hertz rental fleet ( this cars assignment was northern California ) they were sold at Ford Motor Company private auctions to willing dealers. This particular car is number 271 and it is in the Shelby Registry. You"ll notice the signed dash badge by Carroll Shelby. In fact all 500 were signed. It spent the rest of it"s life in Los Angeles where I purchased it for my collection. The tires are like new, brakes have way more than half life, a/c blows cold and the engine and transmission perform flawlessly. I have a GT500 and this car gets more stares and high fives by far. The car is bone stock and besides some minor normal wear and tear is as close to perfect as any 2007 car on the market. It runs perfectly, is reliable and needs nothing.I"m pricing it to sell quickly.
