Vehicle description
You are looking at a fully custom DIY ground up 2007 Dodge Sprinter 2500 Diesel Custom Conversion Van. My wife and I bought it from the original owner last year with 95,000 miles on it and some mechanical issues. We put in a TON of work to get the engine running clean and to get the van fully liveable for the #vanlife. Then, we got pregnant during the pandemic which makes traveling around a bit hard. So, we have to let go of the most wonderful van we have owned. This is our second full conversion, and will not be our last. Let"s talk about mechanics first. When we bought the van it ran great and had no issues, but getting it from the east coast to west coast things started to pop up. Here is a list of all the mechanical updates and parts we have made to the van. Glow PlugsTail PipeGlow Plug Control ModuleTurbo ControllerRadiator Exhaust HoseBilstein Shocks and StrutsCallahan Drilled and Slotted RotorsBrake PadsLexani Trail Beast A/T TiresFull Fluids Flush at 100,000 miles (Coolant, Transmission, Dif, Etc. )After all that she is in perfect working order and we have had no issues with two cross country adventures. Now for the build-out. We wanted to have a living space the felt modern and like a tiny home so we added functional accents where it made sense. Like the repurposed teak partition that we turned into a sliding table. And brass porthole mirror on the wall. We bought the van as a shell and worked from the ground up to get it just the way that we wanted it. Comfortable and functional. The van includes a fully functional kitchen with a foot pump sink, tile countertop and greywater system. The passenger side seat swivels to make it into another seat for the living space. We have a 250Ah battery bank powered by 2 150watt solar panels run by a CTEK D250A charge manager to pull from the solar and the alternator. We have been out in the woods for 3-4 days without running out of juice for the fridge, phones, sounds system, water kettle, etc. . Set of 3 REI Green enamelware dishware comes with the van. (It matches the van!) Two-zone LED lighting in the ceiling. BOSS Audio 1100 watt 4 speaker Bluetooth sound system . Daewoo mini-fridge. Pergo Dark Java waterproof flooring. Insulated with panel and spray foam insulation top to bottom, front to back. Cold in the summer, hot in the winter. (We lived in the van in Aspen, CO for 2 weeks in February. It was AWESOME! ! Stayed right in town for the cost of diesel.) The exterior is painted with texturized deck paint. Similar to Ryno Lining but without the cost. When you drive through tight trees in the woods, it acts like sandpaper and never leaves a mark or a scratch. The roof has a 3-bar VanTech roof bar system for surfboards/paddleboards. There are 2 bolt-on bike racks on the back doors for threw axels (MTB/CX) bikes with quick release (road) bike mounts. This keeps them off the roof and out of harm"s way from road dust and dirt. Tow Package with a ball hitch. Plenty of storage both inside the van and from the rear doors. The bed is a short queen memory foam mattress. We are both under 5"11" and sleep length-wise in the van. Overhead storage above the kitchen area and full-length storage under the bed for skis and long items. There is a solar shower on the roof made of black PVC (really ABS) that can be pressurized from a bike tire valve on the back of the tube. You hook up a hose and get warm water heated by the sun. This is AMAZING to have if you are out surfing or in the sticks for a few days. Before we sell the van we will be putting on a ladder to the solar shower for easy access to the roof to clean the solar or strap stuff to the roof and the van will be cleaned within an inch of its life.We put over a year and a lot of love into this build and we are so sad to see it go, but it does not room for a car seat for the little one on the way. So, on to the next build.BRASS TACKS! If we can arrange it, I am happy to do a video walkthrough of the van for anyone that wants it. Also, you can search our youtube channel "The Mary Jane Experience" to see the entire build-out process. Also, you can reach us there with questions and comments if you have any. I will be posting a walkthrough video there as well so you can see all the details of the van. Please serious inquiries only. Do not message me to tell me what I did wrong and how I could have made the van better. It was my first Sprinter conversion, cut me a break. I will be happy to deliver the van to anyone in the lower 48. We can arrange that upon purchase. If you are in Canada, HI, or AK. message me and we can talk. If you need a CarFax report I can provide that for you as well.Bottom line here, no this is not some Mercedes 4x4 lifted, hey look how much money I have $150,000 Sprinter that is perfect where everything is at the touch of a button. It"s a DIY Dodge that someone could live in year-round and it runs like a champ and gets you where you wanna go. We have never run into a road or condition that called for 4x4 because, to be honest, we never really wanted to rally a tiny-home. But for the price and for what it is, it is AWESOME. Good luck eBaying, please let me know if you have any questions.
