Vehicle description

Description was revised : ALL the maintenance items replaced approximately 400 miles ago. Here’s a list of the parts that were replaced or maintenaced: Radiator flushed, intake and head de-carboned, injectors cleaned, air filter replaced, oil and filter(last week), timing belt, intercoolers flushed, flex pipe was replaced October of 2018, exhaust gaskets replaced, head, both cams, cam chain adjuster, cam chain and tensioner, valve seals, new intake valves, head gasket, valve cover gasket, PVC gasket, diverter valve, catalytic converter cleaned, coolant flange seal, oil strainer/pickup cleaned, lifters replaced, thermostat, cam seals, one ignition coil, The tires approximately 2500 miles ago and the brakes are good. Battery is approx. 2 years old. Interior is near perfect. The air has never been recharged and puts out 39 degree air(see picture). Most of the extra parts are new and the used parts are still perfectly fine to use(used oem parts are always better than new Chinese parts). I bought this car from an older woman and it had a broken cam chain which is why everything was replaced. I assumed it had lost oil pressure and would also need an oil pump or an oil filter housing. I’ve been driving it to work a couple days per week since the work was completed in October and everything has ran perfectly until this past week of hot weather. I had mounted an oil pressure gauge last fall so that I could watch the oil pressure. Since the rebuild in October it has consistently carried 55 to 60psi when driving and 25 to 30 psi @ idle. Now that it"s finally hot outside here in Ohio the pressure will creep down to 30 to 35psi by the time that I get home from the shop. That’s not low enough to hurt anything buy you wouldn’t want to drive it on a trip. I am assuming that it has a spec of crud holding the oil relief valve open or needs an oil pump. If you’re an Audi guy then you know what all of this means. If not….it means that you’ll need to spend 8 to 12 hours of your labor and approx. 4 to $500 to replace the oil pump. The best option for the pump is from ECS Tuning in Wadsworth Ohio. They are the nationwide leaders on Audi’s. The ECS pump that you’d need is: #3647483 , It cost $750 with a $390 refundable core charge that you get back when you send your old pump back to them so then you will only have $360 in the new pump. You can not buy this car hoping that it will be ok to drive and not need a pump. It will need this work done. It can only be driven for 4 or 5 miles before it starts to lose oil pressure but if it’s driven further and looses oil pressure then everything will need replaced again. If you don’t understand what I’m saying and don’t work on your own cars then this car isn"t for you. Ok…. with all that being said…. You are essentially buying a very, very nice A4 that needs an oil pump. I wouldn’t say that this car is in mint condition but you will be hard pressed to find a nicer one. I had it listed earlier for over $4000 before I realized that it needed a pump. I don’t have time to work on it until this fall so I am listing it "as is" and if it doesn’t sell by October then I’ll put a pump in it and keep it for my dd. I’ll entertain reasonable offers. FYI…. I’ve been offered $1900 for the car and all the parts but I can’t quite let it and all the parts go for that price. You Audi guys know the value of the pile of parts that I’m selling with this car. Let me know if you don"t want the parts and we can work something out. Message me if you need more information about the car or any of the parts.
