Up for auction is my 2006 Volvo XC90, it"s a good looking vehicle, AWD model, with 3rd row seating, runs and drives. I just installed a new battery ($179.99) and ordered a new key from Volvo ($322) This vehicle does have some check engine codes and it does need a little mechanical work and I am listing it and pricing it accordingly. The following DTC codes were read - P2418, P0026, P0027, P2400. They all pertain to EVAP system faults. I cleared the codes and once the codes were clear the turbo actuator stuck open and is now allowing oil into the exhaust which is causing white heavy white smoke from the tailpipe. I drove this vehicle home from the dealer over 20 miles prior to clearing the codes and it did not smoke at all but did have low power. I suspect it needs a turbo replacement, but I am no Volvo expert. It also needs a front end alignment as the passenger front tire is wearing in a very poor pattern. Also the A/C system needs to be evaluated as it does not blow cold. I purchased this vehicle from a friend"s dealership and was hoping to give it to a friend to drive, it"s a little out of my scope to handle the repairs it needs so I am selling it AS IS. This vehicle is in need of some repair, a mechanic"s special if you will. I suspect with some front end work, a turbo replacement, and A/C evaluation this will be a very nice driving vehicle. My loss is your gain. Vehicle is being offered for no reserve, sold to the highest bidder. Opening bid is set to cover my costs for the new key, battery, and tow to the dealership for key programming.
