Vehicle description
Hi and thanks for looking. I"m selling my 2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI 1.9L BRM Turbo Diesel w/the 5 speed manual transmission. I have two of these and they are fantastic cars to say the least. Average MPG is low to upper 40"s. The BRM TDI variant is highly sought after as it was manufactured before the required DPF that came later on the 2.0L. If you"re looking for a perfect condition creampuff, this is not the car for you. It has it"s fair share of dents and dings all around, but still presentable. Interior is a 6/10. This is an extremely reliable daily driver that I wouldn"t hesitate to drive anywhere.
Here"s the maintenance highlights:
*Timing Belt - Replaced @131K *New Clutch kit & Pressure Plate - Replaced @141K - (Kerma TDI) *New Starter Motor - Replaced @125K *New Serpentine belt - Continental - Replaced @131K *New front pads & Rotors - Replaced @145K *New rear brake pads - Replaced @145K *Firestone tires have approx. 70% tread remaining. *New Battery replaced 10/21. *Ravenol oil changes every 4K. (505.01 spec as factory requires)
Here"s the quirks:
*Driver side door harness needs replacing (common issue) Electronics on driver door will not operate until this repair is satisfied. (Approximately $125.00 for the harness on Ebay) *Fuel gauge -When the gauge reads 1/2 full, that means the tank is empty. Full reading is full. Never bothered us enough to fix as it does operate. *Driver seatbelt sometimes has trouble retracting. *Airbag light has always been illuminated on the instrument cluster. *Headliner is sagging (Typical for this MK5 bodystyle) *Leather interior trim on all doors is loose. I"m including NEW VW leather for all doors for you to install.
Overall, the is Jetta is a great car. All it needs is some cosmetic attention and light mechanical. We"ve taken care of the big ticket items as mentioned. Excellent daily driver as is. We average about 500-525 miles per fill-up. We"re selling because I just purchased a 2013 Jetta TDI for my wife, which replaces this 2006.
This is a NO-Reserve auction, so bid to win. Please don"t bid unless you have the funds. I own the Jetta outright and have the clean and clear title in my name, in hand. The car is located in Daytona Beach, Florida. I can pick you up from the following airports if needed: DAB/SFB/MCO/ORL/JAX. I"m also happy to assist your provided shipping company. Thanks for looking and good luck!
