Vehicle description

2006 Forester LL Bean edition, clear title. Purchased car in 2018. Reliable all weather commuter with good gas mileage: 22/28 MPG. 4-cyl, 4 door wagon, 2 tone paint Evergreen metallic with steel gray body cladding, tan interior. Tires with about 50% life left. Wheels show their age. One rust spot by fuel filler door, passenger side. Also has hail damage on hood . See pics. Following repairs conducted 02/18 @ 94,762 miles: Replaced front brake pads and turned rotors Replaced rear struts / shocks Replaced Serpentine Belt
Subaru"s 2.5 liter engine of this era was known for requiring head gasket replacement around 95,000 miles or so. When purchased, I just thought I"d having timing belt, head gasket and water pump all replaced. When I brought it in in 02/18, mechanic said it looked like all those things had already been completed, so I used the funds to do all the other work listed above.
Last passed inspection on 02/08/19. Battery around a year old.
Has a sensitive alarm system that even thunder has set off before. It also is set off if you unlock the car with the key instead of the key fob. If it were me, I"d have it unhooked. I took the short way out and pulled the fuse to the horn. I"ve kept the fuse to put in to pass inspection. There"s YouTube videos on unhooking the alarm.
In good condition for a 13 year old car. I have done my best to disclose defects through pics and description. Please feel free to ask questions.
