Up for sale is my 2006 Twin Turbo Cayman S. This car was originally put together by IMA Motorsports in Chantilly, VA. The design was for low boost twin turbos, to avoid the headaches of a high boost setup. IMA used two series 63 Aerocharger Turbos, with variable turbine nozzles. These units build boost under 3000 RPM, and maintain 5 to 6 psi. They also have a self-contained oiling system. This car, on a chassis dyno, puts out 405 RWHP and 345 RWTQ. A center mount radiator for the water to air intercooler has a custom carbon fiber duct made by Crawford Composites. Crawford also supplied carbon fiber tubing for the inlets and outlets for the turbos, as well as the throttle body. The water pump circulates at the rate of 23 gal/min. The water is carried through Brown and Miller stainless braided hose. A custom motorsports air-oil separator was built and installed by Chilly Performance, as well as H and R lowering springs. The transmission is shifted by Numeric Racing shifter cables. After I acquired the car, I had Velocity Motor Works (now Redline Automotive) in Thomasville, GA finish it, with GT3 rear control arms and tie rods, Vertex’s IMS upgrade, new rear seal, lightweight fly wheel with new clutch disc, pressure plate, clutch master and slave, also provided by Vertex. The car has new tires, fresh alignment, and full service. There is no record of this car having been tracked, but I believe it would make someone an excellent track day car. It is a blast to drive on the street. When the turbos spool, the acceleration is there. All work has been professionally done. If you are interested, come look. The cost to duplicate is much more than the reserve.
