Vehicle description
Well maintained 2006 W220 S65 with approximately 64,500 miles.
I believe in presenting potential buyers with an honest representation of the things I sell. As such, I will detail the good and the bad aspects of this S65.
For the good:
Car has very clean interior, no rips or tears in the leather. All electronics work. Sun roof. Factory installed Sirius satellite radio. AC is functional and cold for both front and rear cabin areas. All doors open and close smoothly. Soft close option works on all doors including trunk. Drivetrain in great shape including flex discs. ABC suspension fully functional with less than 1" sag after parked for two weeks. No ECU error codes. Car drives very smoothly. No leaks anywhere. No rust. Never driven in winter. No accidents either. Recently passed PA inspection.
List of recently replaced parts:
1. New OEM motor mounts
2. New OEM transmission mount
3. Passenger side coil pack (rebuilt by V12icpack) 4. 24 new NGK iridium spark plugs and boots. 5. New pulsation damper
6. New tandem pump and hoses
7. New transmission pilot bushing
8. New intercooler pump
9. New Continental DWS06 rear tires (only has about 400 miles on them)
10. NOS DVD navigation drive (old drive died, replaced with a newer compatible OEM MB drive).
11. New Keyless-GO smart key (total of 2 functional K/G keys)
12. New AGM battery
13. New front undercarriage plastics and hardware 14. New sharkfin GPS antenna cover 15. New vacuum lines run for diverter valves 16. Lots of other little things here and there that escape my mind.
Now the bad: Fortunately there"s only three bad things that stand out: car will most likely need new ball joints soon; perhaps within the next 10k miles. There"s a slight clunk to be heard when driving slowly over rough pavement. Otherwise the ball joint boots look fine; rubber is still pliable, un-cracked, and untorn. Car drives, tracks, and steers just fine.
Secondly, the two external door lock micro-switches on the driver side stopped working. The touch unlock option still works, just the lock buttons aren"t functioning. Passenger side external microswitches are fine. This can be remedied by either replacing the door handles or just the microswitches themselves.
Lastly, the driver"s seat is missing the little AMG badge. It unfortunately fell off never to be found again.
I hate to sell this car but unfortunately due to life sometimes throwing you a curveball, I now need the money. I bought the car in January 2017 for $29,500 and sank quite a bit into it to get things working well. . As such, bidding starts at $27,500 which is what I"m hoping to get for this great car. I still lose quite a bit after spending money on parts, labor, time, etc so the price is set so I don"t loose too much.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I"m happy to answer them.
Car can be picked up from New York City or Milford, PA (summer home is there). I"m currently driving the car on weekends so the mileage may go up a little unless someone buys it now.
