Vehicle description
GREAT PROJECT CAR
Privately owned, second owner. Original owner was an older adult lease. I purchased it in 2009 with approx 25k miles on it. It currently has 103k miles. The engine slipped timing and bent the intake and exhaust valves. I rebuilt the engine but life got in the way, had two kids and got a divorce. So I was unable to finish the project. It does start and run but the engine needs to be broken in as i only drove it around the block twice to check for oil leaks. I can supply any info needed to verify parts used during the rebuild. However, it is a project car at this point having sat in a garage for 2 years. We are selling the house and therefore its time to part ways sadly.
Gladly, will answer questions as I am just looking to unload it, not trying to recoup the cost of parts to rebuild engine (approximately $5k worth of parts including new cylinder head). Transmission is original and in good condition, shifts smoothly. I did replace the clutch assembly while it was exposed.
The body is in great shape, absolutely no damage/dents anywhere. There are some typical road chips on the front bumper and hood from normal driving. A couple of those spots are showing rust but nothing a bit of sanding and touch up paint cant fix. Never been in an accident, or even needed an alignment. The exterior will need a good clay bar and detailing though.
The interior is spotless. Never smoked and rarely ate or drank in it. No kids or pets ever inside. The leather is perfect and will just need a decent wipe down from dust accumulation.
Just to list some of the replaced parts and work done so far:
- Stripped, cleaned and polished engine block - Stripped, cleaned and polished crank shaft - Replaced all connecting rods - Replaced all studs - Replaced pistons, bearings and rings - Replaced timing chain - Replaced oil pump and associated parts - Replaced all soft goods parts (gaskets, o rings, washers, etc) - Replaced clutch - Replaced Rear motor mount & Transmission motor mount
