This has been a fantastic car to own but it is time for her to find a new home. This is one of the most beautiful and fun cars I"ve ever driven and had the pleasure of owning. This 2006 Mazda RX-8 is one of the last rotary powered cars produced and the 1.3L rotary engine is one of the smoothest engines I"ve ever driven. The 6 speed manumatic gearbox makes it an absolute treat to drive. It cruises beautifully in automatic mode and can really carve some corners in manual.
60,000 miles on the engine and transmission, runs beautifully and shifts smoothly. Chassis has 113,000 miles on it but no signs of rust or abuse. Interior is in great shape other than the passenger side airbag cover having cracks in it, the cloth seats with suede inserts are super comfortable in all seasons. All functions and accessories work flawlessly and all pixels in the radio face are perfect, ice cold a/c and hot heat. Exterior is pretty great but has some flaws, there is curb rash on the wheels, a few small dents and scratches here and there, some clear coat fading on the roof and side mirrors. There are 2 cracks in the windshield on the passenger side that don’t affect driver visibility as well. Other than those imperfections the exterior looks great and the paint is in really good condition with no real body damage.
I’ve given this car all the love and attention I can as well as given you the most honest assessment I can. Never skimped on maintenance, brand new coils, wires, plugs and battery as well as a fresh oil change.
