Thank you for looking at my 2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ named OJ (Orange Julius). I purchased her in June of 2018 after an exhaustive search for a TJ that wasn"t abused or wore out. I rented a Jeep on Tortola and when I got home I HAD to have a Jeep! Unfortunately, I work a lot and never get to drive her. I was getting ready to winterize her and realized that I have only driven her 5 times this season. So I made the tough decision to let her go to a new home that can get more enjoyment out of her.
I am going to be VERY thorough in my description to make purchasing online as transparent and informative as possible. I have purchased vehicles online in the past and had a good experience and I want you to feel the same comfort and relief when you get this beauty in your driveway. Please read this in its entirety to know exactly what you are buying, her features, her upgrades, and the few minor negatives.
I purchased this Jeep from a dealer near Toledo, OH that specialized in Jeeps, especially TJ"s (1997-2006). He scoured the country and brought in Jeeps from all over the US. This one came in from PA and it was driven back to Toledo. I purchased it with 121586 miles on it. As of today, it has 124756 miles. There will be some additional miles on her as I am still driving her this week while it is for sale. IT IS ALSO FOR SALE LOCALLY, SO THIS AD MAY BE PULLED PRIOR TO HITTING RESERVE OR BUY IT NOW.
According to the dealer, this was a one owner (now two) that was used as commuter. It was garage kept prior to my purchase. The previous owner kept service records and they were all done at the dealer. I have records going back to 2014. I also have service records for the minor things I have done. Here"s a snapshot of what has been done:
2/14 - O2 sensor replaced 4/15 - transfer case serviced 5/15 - transmission serviced including filter and fluid, front differential serviced 1/16 - bulb replacement 1/17 - sway bar links replaced, rear axle serviced 8/17 - bulb replaced (at a dealer! crazy!) 6/18 - my dealer serviced/inspected 6/18 - all new wheels and tires, more on that below 6/19 - transmission cooler lines replaced 6/21 - valve cover gaskets replaced, new oil pan and gasket 9/21 - new ignition switch (not documented, I bought online and DIY)
Regular oil changes also, documented.
Positives, Upgrades, Unique Items:
*She"s ORANGE! That"s a rare color. Very beautiful and non tacky shade of orange also
*Factory premium sound, with center console subwoofer. This makes the center console more shallow, see photos
*Previous owner added bluetooth FM connection. This is a switch that is in the glove box. You could be mount in dash if desired
*Passed PA echeck in 2018. I don"t have e check here.
*Weather Tech front floor mats.
*Custom coordinating veteran braided paracord door pulls, key chains, door stays, o crap bars, dash o crap bar, and zipper pulls.
*Wheels and tires are dealer take offs from a 2018 wrangler. They are installed with spacers. There is no wheel rub unless turned all the way over. Like hard all the way over. These tires have just under 3,000 miles on them! They are a head turner.
*Tires are Bridgestone Dueler H/T 255/70R18 with OEM 18" rims
*Adult owned, adult driven its entire life and it shows.
*Unadulterated OEM look (aside from wheels).
*TJ"s are highly regarded and hold their value VERY well.
*Non smoker vehicle. Free from burns, odors, etc.
*Extras Photo (see picture) - includes: original owners manual, professional paint kit, wheel locks, doors off mirrors, doors off sensor springs, service records, and summer cover for top and doors off time.
Known Cosmetics/Mechanical Issues:
*Driver side easy access seat - does not operate. Seat moves forward and back and reclines just fine but the lever to flip the seat forward does not do anything. Could be an easy fix. According to the dealer, this was that way for the life of the vehicle.
*Rearview mirrow does not illuminate/no compass - again, according to dealer, this was like this for the life of the vehicle. Could be an easy fix.
*Rear zipper on eisenglass needs serviced. It can zip OK once started but the lead came off and its a bear to start.
*I am not sure if this is a jeep thing but on the HVAC, high and low work as they should. Medium is lower than normal. Likely just a bad switch.
*The only two areas of concern on body rust, that I would address, are on the driver front fender and the driver front windshield hinge. Color matched professional paint repair kit included!
*The rear seat was never in while I owned it. Unfortunately some wood glue dripped on to it. See photos. A cheap seat cover would fix this!
*The driver door panel has a crack in it, see photo. Aside from that, the interior is in phenomenal condition.
*Aside from that, just the regular cosmetic chips and scratches with normal use. See photos.
Drivability:
In excellent mechanical condition. Tracks straight. Very responsive and powerful. No transmission slipping or hard shifts. I would have NO PROBLEM taking this on a long trip.

The vehicle currently has a small balance that is held by the bank. The bank is in Toledo, OH area. Vehicle is located in Sandusky, OH. Transaction can be completed, by appointment, at the bank. We will need to coordinate logistics. We can also set up an escrow account if desired. I am far from dumb, don"t attempt to scam me, it will not work.
