Vehicle description
I’ve had this car since high school and the only reason I’m selling it is because my girlfriend and I are going down to one car and hers is newer. I’ve kept up with the mechanical repairs but there are cosmetic flaws. I want to be as upfront about everything as possible so if you have any questions about anything I am more than happy to tell you all about the vehicle. I have also paid for a Carfax report that I will provide you.
Overall this has been a fantastic car for me over the years and has saved me a ton of money. It has been incredibly reliable and would make a great car for someone looking to save money with dependable transportation or a great starter car.
I installed an after market stereo that has AUX capability and CD capability. The old stereo only played cassettes. I’ll also include a audio device to allows you to pair your Bluetooth to the car audio.
I’ve consistently kept up with oil changes and routines tune ups. Recently within the last few months I have replaced the ignition coil and the radiator.
The following are issues with vehicle in its current state:
- Many minor dents and one major dent on the front right of the vehicle. Someone backed into me in a parking garage and created the dent. I consulted a mechanic who advised that the dent would not cause any mechanical issues.
- The driver and passenger side door handles work but the plastic has broken on the casing of both of them. Very easy to replace and cheap.
- Many of the 2006 models have an airbag issue on the passenger side. Basically a weight sensor has malfunctioned in the actual seat. The whole seat can be replaced or the weight sensor inside the seat can be replaced.
- The seats and floor mats are stained from years of use and exposure to the sun.
- The steering wheel has lost a lot of its grip due to sun damage.
- There are scuffs on the interior
- The front bumper is cracked. Again, cosmetic with no effect on performance.
-The air conditioning has a clog issue. I was quoted at around $300 to fix it. It does blow cold air until it gets very hot outside.
-Some of the power window switches don’t work. All the windows still go up and down however.
-The front passenger side seat won’t lean back. No idea why.
- There is no seatbelt for the back middle seat. It was purchased like that. No idea why there is no seatbelt there.
