Vehicle description
Vehicle Details This is an auction for a 2006 Honda Ridgeline RTL. I have owned the truck for about 3 years. This was bought mostly for going to work and for my wife to get furniture and things for the house that would not fit in a car. I am not much of a truck person. History of the truck from what I know:I purchased from a restaurant owner who was "friends" with a used car place which was selling the car. I was told the truck was a one owner and had excellent maintenance ( When looking at the truck I could tell it was a lie, more later about that). I replaced the windshield, starter, and battery once I got the truck home. Then had a mechanic replace the front passenger control arm and put matching tires all the way around on the truck, used tires matching the two best on the truck. About 1000 miles later I had the timing, water pump, and a few other things done to the engine because there was a shake in the engine, took to a Honda master mechanic. The bolt for the alternator was the wrong size and the tensioner and all was some crap unknown company. So the parts, even harmonic balancer where all changed and still had some shake in the engine. That was around 97k miles. So about 109k the belt shook off the engine and wrapped up so the engine would not turn over. I went ahead and imported an engine in with, suppose to be, less than 45K miles on it. Engine was put in and it runs like a sewing machine. Just amazing. The truck was used for my go to work vehicle (15 miles from the house) and drive to get things. Was also used to move 600 miles away, multiple trips. I never towed anything with the truck or took the truck off road. I am not worry about taking the truck on a 600 mile trip right now. Here are the few issues I know about the truck:1. On trips the oil gets hot enough to leak from the oil pan. (Found out on the first long trip) Around town there are no leaks. Mechanic said just to get the Honda sealant or a gasket. Would need to drop the oil pan for that.2. Heat only works on the passenger side (I am in Houston TX so I barely ever need heat, heated seats work great so that is all I needed).3. Back glass does not open. Lots of trucks had the back glass explode and then replaced. If replaced by a cheap place they left glass in the tracks and then the window does not open. I found little bits of tinted glass still in the truck after I got it home.4. Radio light does not come on all the time. Common issue with the truck and is just an issue at night.5. Headliner is sagging and some stains from the restaurant owner making deliveries with the truck (what I was told).6. Someone before me repainted the truck and it was not a skilled person. Very little clear coat was put on. Lemon peel on lots of the truck. This truck is not the prettiest but might get the right of way in traffic over others :) .The good:1. It is a truck, if you want a truck that is what it is.2. Lower mileage engine in the truck. A master mechanic installed the engine and really did like the engine. No check engine lights are on at all.3. Transmission, rear end, and gear box oil has all been changed with Honda oil in the past 10K miles.4. The truck is comfy and decent sound system. This is the RTL edition without the Nav. 5. Have not found rust on much of the truck, just small amounts and you might be able to see from the underside picture. 6. I am not some used car sales man, ask me and I will get you the pictures and tell you all that I know about the vehicle. I am selling because I agreed to sell a vehicle before I buy another one.7. If you like Savage cologne I had a bottle bust in the box, which was in a bag. The bottle was the parfum edition. That was over 9 months ago and still has the smell. There is no reserve. If you want more pictures just let me know. Have any questions, message me on here. I sold my 2004 Z06 corvette on here. For the price I feel like this is a good deal for someone looking for a truck. I can work with any Shippers near the area. The winner pays for shipping. If the winner wants to come pick up the truck I can pick the person up at the airport in Houston TX or they can have Uber to bring them to the truck (I would reimburse the winner of the cost of the uber from the airport in Houston TX) Payment I expect in 14 days from the auction or sooner. $500 deposit with paypal.com due within 48 hours of closing of the auction.
