* * *UPDATE* * * The previous post on this car the AC was broken and didn"t work and was only blowing warm air. I took the car to the mechanic this week and they found the leak in the AC condenser. I had them install a new AC condenser and recharge the system with freon. The car now blows cold air again!
This 2006 Chevrolet HHR is clean inside and out! With just over 150,000 miles the oil has been changed regularly on this car. This past August I had all of the shocks replaced as well as the lower control arms, tie rods, and an alignment. The two front tires are only a year old and I would say the two back tires still have about 10000 more miles of life left on them as an estimate. The front rotors and break pads were last replaced in February. This car features an aftermarket Pioneer Avic 930bt head unit which offers GPS navigation, CD/DVD player, iPhone plug, and bluetooth hands free calling. The speakers were also upgraded to Pioneers stage 3 speaker sound system. The 2.4L 4 Cylinder gasoline engine offers great fuel economy where I am still averaging around 25 MPG and the ability to fold all of the seats down allows you to put some large items in the car. There are a few things that are wrong with the car but do not effect the way it runs. First it is missing the rear right passenger floor matt (I"m the third owner and when I bought it it wasn"t there). Second is that the car does have remote start but that stopped working a couple weeks ago. I believe it is just a bad fuse but I haven"t had the time to look into it. Lastly the door in the AC unit that either allows outside air to flow in vs allowing the inside air to recirculate is stuck and needs to be fixed. This causes a knocking sound in the dash for about 5seconds when you start the car up. It does not effect if the AC was to be cold or not. Other then those few small things the car runs great and always has in the years that I have owned her. If you are interested or have any questions about this car please DM me.
