I bought this car a bit over 2 years ago from the original owner, an older gentleman in his 60"s. It was stored indoors the whole time I"ve owned it. Time to make room in the garage. Higher miles but all interstate, always adult owned and the car has never been beat on or abused. Runs and drives nice!. Lots of receipts for oil changes. Lots of life still left in her. If you are mechanically inclined or enjoy doing basic maintenance yourself it"s a great way to get into a late model Corvette for little money.
Below are recent repairs I"ve performed getting her ready for sale:
- Brand new GM fuel sending unit assembly including new GM fuel pump
- Both fuel level sending units replaced with new GM units (common issue with C6 Corvettes and a expensive repair)
- New A/C Delco throttle body - New AC/Delco battery
- New oil pan gasket
- New oil pressure sending unit
- New hood struts
- New hatch struts
- New air filters and oil change
- Seats recovered in REAL leather with alcantara inserts
Overall good condition and drives nice. Not a garage queen, some minor squeaks/rattles. Paint/clear coat is in good shape but has some minor scrapes/scratches around. Could use a good detail.
Known issues:
Occasionally (maybe 1 out of 5 time or so) the drivers door does not open when the button on the door panel is pushed. There is a lever next to the door that can be pulled to open the door so it"s not a big deal. The door always opens from the outside.
"service tire monitor" warning is on. The battery in one or more tire pressure monitor sensors in the wheel(s) are dead. Rear right tire has a slow (couple of weeks or so) leak. Honestly I would plan to replace all tires though. You can find cheap Corvette wheels and tires all over craigslist.
I am happy to assist buyer in any way I can but, if planning to ship the car that of course is the responsibility of the buyer. I am happy to help with load up, etc.
Feel free to ask any questions or request additional pictures. I"ll answer as best as I can.
