Vehicle description
For sale is my beloved 2006 E53 X5 4.8is Alpina with 115,000 miles.
This was the unsung hero of the E53 range, the equivalent of the X5 M,
before the M division officially launched an E70 version.
Powered by 4.8 V8 motor, 360 HP 360 TQ, this thing is a beast.
The truck is mechanic owned, and has extended service list, making this the best condition E53 you could get today.
Every problematic area of this beast has been addressed:
* Air suspension converted to coil springs and Bilstein shocks @110000.
* Transmission got all new ZF solenoids, Mechatronic sleeves, fluid and filter @110000.
* Brakes are brand new coated calipers and Pagid pads front and back @115000.
* Oil changed every 5K with Castrol Edge 5-40 and Hastings Filter @115000.
* Every suspension component changed with Lemforder or OEM parts @110000.
* Coolant reservoir recently changed as well @115000.
* Tires are Continental DWS 06 all around, 80% rear and 70% front@105000.
* Truck has custom Alcantara headliner (previous owner).
* Interior is in beautiful shape, no rips or damage to any of the Ivory Comfort seats.
* Body is in beautiful shape, there have been ZERO ACCIDENTS, no body damage, no rust, no scratches, no stories. These are a few tiny imperfections, but you"d be struggling to find them if I don"t point them out. All paint is original, you can check every panel with paint gauge, or take it to any body shop or mechanic.
* I"m averaging 16 MPG mixed and 22 MPG on the HWY if you keep to the speed limit, admittedly not an easy task.
The negatives:
* Active suspension inactive light is on, due to me eliminating the Air suspension, I have the module to turn it off, I"ll include it in the sale.
* Tire pressure monitor light is on, this system is tied into the active suspension system, and is activated in tandem. I regularly check my tire pressures with a tire gauge, so it doesn"t bother me.
Other then that, truck runs beautifully, no smoke, no oil consumption, no sunroof issues, no suspension issues, no shifting issues, nothing wrong at all.
I"m selling to free up some capital for a business venture, and have too many cars.
