Vehicle description

Selling our wonderful 2006 E46 M3. Completely stock, great specs – manual transmission, triple black, no nav! 69,480 miles, clean California title in hand, no accidents or incidents. Just passed smog.
Runs and drives wonderfully, just had it’s 60K mile complete service (over $2,000) which included a valve adjustment. We’ve maintained this car with an excellent BMW mechanic in Petaluma, CA. Comes with documentation and receipts from our ownership.
My wife and I searched for months and bought this car in 2017 from Chequered Flag International in LA, a shop known for sourcing extremely clean collector cars. We bought with 34K miles on it. It’s been very reliable, never let us down, and we’ve enjoyed every moment with it.
Two years ago it was given a $1,500 coat of ceramic paint protection. The paint is in good shape with some minor imperfections, two blemishes on the hood, and a very small ding in the back bumper. No signs of rust anywhere on the car. Interior looks great, and the back seats have almost never been used.
We’re offering the car with NO RESERVE since there some things that keep if from being 100%. We’re not dealers and we believe in karma so we’re going to tell you about all of them. They are:
Convertible top works but has always been slow. It takes about 25 seconds to open and 20 to close.
There is an intermittent coolant light going on (coolant level is fine).
Radio volume knob is a bit wonky (it works but needs some coddling).
Trunk lock doesn’t always listen to the key fob. And the glove box lock intermittently makes an odd noise on startup.
There’s some wheel rash on the rims.
Drivers seat bolster has some rash and splitting. (Please note that what looks like a crack in the driver’s seat leg bolster is a surface scratch, not a crack).
Rear view mirror has a wobble to it.
Front floor mats have (of course) lost most of their Velcro patches.

The car currently rides on Michelin Pilot Spots up front and Continental’s at the back. Both have plenty of life left.
In terms of driving, it’s perfection - clutch, brakes, steering, chassis, suspension and that legendary engine, all function FLAWLESSLY. No leaks. There’s a reason these continue to appreciate. We’ll miss it but we bought some land and sadly it’s time for a truck.
NOTE: we had this car listed a few months ago, but we had misplaced the title during a move. We"ve had a new one issued and it"s in hand.
Please contact me with any questions or if you’d like photos of something specific.
Thanks!
Zach
