2005 SMART ForTwo (Mercedes) The smart fortwo was launched in 1998 at the Paris Motor Show by Mercedes, being initially called Smart City Coupe. The two seater car has a length of 2.69 meters long. During the years from 1998 to 2007 they were assembled in Germany, Belgium and France plants. The first models of the car came with advanced safety features, including ESP, front and side aibags, ASR and a front crumple zone that protects the passengers in case of a front impact. Moreover, the engine is installed in the rear part of the car.
