Vehicle description
2005 Saab 9-3 with glancing front-end collision. 130K miles. Passenger front airbag is deployed, so the car is pretty much only good for parting out unless you can get an entire dashboard unit from another car. Front-end damage appears to be mostly limited to cosmetics and lighting, engine is untouched, radiator has some scrapes but seems intact. A/C, heat, and seat warmers in good working order. I drove it around the block a couple of times and the chassis and steering seem unaffected. Other things to know about it:
- the fuel gauge has been malfunctioning for about two years. I"ve been using the trip odometer to know when to refuel.
- several interior components were knocked loose, such as the passenger sun visor and the rear dome light cover.
- In the few months before it got crashed, the transmission had been acting extremely iffy. So if you were thinking about buying it mainly to harvest the transmission, probably don"t.
- ^same story with the suspension. Too many years on terrible Indiana roads.
- the car has at least one and probably two oil leaks that I know about.
- the rims are in good shape but they have a fair amount of brake dust on them. I"m not a mechanic but I"m an honest guy and I"ve done my best to represent this car as accurately as possible. It"s always a better idea to use a tow/flatbed if you can, but if you want to drive it back, that"s your choice. The car seems perfectly driveable, but that was at regular neighborhood speed, not highway. Both front turn signals still work and the headlights are still pointed in more or less the right direction. If you choose to drive it away, you do so at your own risk. If I think of anything else I will be sure to add it to the listing. If you buy the car, you must take the WHOLE car; my driveway is not Pull-A-Part. Buyer must pay $100 deposit at the end of auction, the rest will be payable on pickup (cash, money order, Cash App, or any other reasonable payment method). Having it shipped would very probably not be worth it but if you really want to I will work with you. If for any reason you decide not to buy the car after all, you will surrender the deposit and it will be relisted. Any questions, you can ask through ebay or text (please do NOT call) and I will do my best to get answers for you. This car served me well for over 6 years and I"ll be very happy if it can be resurrected or at least help someone out one last time :)
