Vehicle description

2005 SAAB 9-2X Aero VIN JF4GG22665G054322 - MOVING SALE! Now asking $5500 OBO (was $6200) and includes (4) mounted snow tires, seat covers and all other extra items listed below. This would make a great rock-solid daily driver and would also be an excellent RallyCross car. General Information: - 2005 SAAB 9-2X Aero - VIN JF4GG22665G054322 - AWD with manual 5-spd - Current mileage: 192643 - I bought it in May 2017. - The SAAB 9-2X Aero is sometimes referred to as a SAAB-aru since it is basically a Subaru WRX wagon with an additional noise reduction package and includes the WRX STi"s steering ratio (quicker & more precise). There were not very many made in Silver with the 5-spd manual transmission. It has the EJ205 engine (just like the Subaru WRX). - I prepped this car to be a rock-solid daily driver and to eventually run in SCCA RallyCross events in the Stock AWD class (never ran an event with this car - bummer). The stock pedals are set up excellent for left foot braking. - I basically replaced everything from the front axle and rear differential outboard to the wheels with new parts including: 1/2 shafts, knuckles, wheel bearings, rotors, calipers, brake hoses, struts, lower control arms, rear lateral links, all park brake hardware, etc. - Car runs great. A/C runs cold. There is nothing mechanically wrong with it, nor any warnings lights on in the dash. The only things that could use attention are two small rust spots on the rear quarters (typical for these models including the Subaru"s) and a crack in the lower front facia. - The SAAB 9-2X is a 2.0l turbocharged and intercooled flat-4 and provides excellent forward visibility (due the flat-4 engine packaging being so low). The AWD performance in the ice and snow is fantastic. - Heated seats, auto climate control with AC, in-dash six-CD changer, power windows, power door locks. - Interior is in great shape and I have have new seat covers that come with the car as well (I left them off for now so people can see how good of shape the seats are in). - I installed a 3/16 inch Aluminum Front Skidplate with 3/16 inch Stinger Tail Option (protects axle) so the underside motor compartment is fully protected. - Also included are mounted snow tires 205/55R-16 UNIROYAL TIGER PAW ICE & SNOW on new Tire Rack steel wheels 16X6.5 5-100 ET50 CB56. This combo was selected for performance for both winter driving and RallyCross events (the TIGER PAW"s are a somewhat harder compound and won"t wear as quickly during the hard-pack summer RallyCross events). - The car has an after-market muffler that was on the car when I bought it. The intent was to make the car sound more like the traditional iconic Subaru Boxer unequal length rumble. See this => https:/ youtu.be/SUiyNud1FX0 Updates include: Front Suspension / Engine: Replaced essentially everything from the front axle out to the wheels: - Right / Left front axle CV shafts - Front knuckles - Front wheel bearings and seals - Front brake rotors - Front brake calipers / pads (Hawk) - Front brake lines (braided) - Front struts / dust boot / upper strut mounts - Front lower control arms with new ride / handling bushings - Right / Left Steering Tie Rod Ends - Right / Left front differential seals at front axle shafts - STI Subaru transmission Mount (tightens up driveline) - STI Group N Pitch Stop Mount (tightens up driveline) - Replaced all fasteners / bolts / nuts associated with these parts - Replaced alternator drive belt - Replaced AC Compressor drive belt - Replaced Oil Cooler Gasket - Flush / Fill anti-freeze Oct. 2018 - New 12V battery installed April 2019 Rear Suspension: Replaced essentially everything from the rear differential out to the wheels: - Right / Left rear axle CV shafts - Rear knuckles - Rear wheel bearings and seals - Right / Left Backing Plate / Brake Dust Shield / Park Brake Plate - All rear park brake hardware (drum brake hardware, brake shoe set, etc) - Rear brake rotors - Rear brake calipers / pads (Hawk) - Rear brake lines (braided) - Right / Left front / rear lateral links with bushings - Rear differential fluid Also includes: - Primitive Racing WRX/STi 3/16 inch Aluminum Front Skidplate with 3/16 inch Stinger Tail Option (protects axle) already installed - (4) Mounted snow tires 205/55R-16 UNIROYAL TIGER PAW ICE & SNOW 3 on new Tire Rack steel wheels 16X6.5 5-100 ET50 CB56 - Extras include: new rear wiper blade (still in box), seat covers, new hood and liftgate SAAB emblems (still in box), new WIX air filter (still in the box), PERRIN Performance rear diff / subframe lockdown system (still in the box). In summary: - 2005 SAAB 9-2X Aero VIN JF4GG22665G054322 Current mileage: 192643 miles Purchased in May 2017 @ 169,333 miles. - Summary of the selected replacement parts itemized above and add-ons (not including "wear" items) were over $4000 (and these parts have only approx. 22k miles on them). All parts (except for brake hardware) were purchased directly from SAAB or Subaru dealerships / parts warehouses. Now asking $5500 (was $6200) and includes the (4) mounted snow tires, seat covers and all other extra items listed above. For reference, remember that this car is basically a Subaru WRX and if you do any price comparisons relative to SAAB 9-2X make sure you look at the Aero (flat four turbo) and not the Linear model (naturally aspirated). Here is a link for comparisons to Subaru"s. . . the WRX"s really retain value quite well. https:/ www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used-2005-Subaru-Impreza-WRX-Wagon-t51462
