Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 2005 Porsche Cayenne is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle is drivable and is used as a daily driver. Seller"s Notes Lot of bang for you buck with this 450 HP TWIN TURBO 4.5L V8! ! ! ! Vehicle Details I flew down to Miami to buy this car sight unseen. Planned on leaving it down there for when I go down for work. Car needed MUCH more work than I was originally told so I towed it back to CT and did the following all within the last 3-4000 miles. Changed the oil twice because the first time the drain plug that was on it leaked. Replaced the drain plug and all oil again so it’s very clean. Vacuum pump All new brake booster/intake hard lines which are common fail items on these. Check that off the list for another 100,000+ miles! New wipers New map sensor New Cabin Air Filter New driveshaft this was done right before I bought it looked brand new when I went under the car for the first time. New headlights & tail lights all new bulbs including HID New headlight brackets/adjuster so you don’t have to worry about not being able to put them back in if you take them out! New headlight to main harness wiring harnesses another common fail item I have another Cayenne and the same thing needed to be done they get brittle and crack after 10+ years then you get flickering HIDs none of that here! New wheel sensor New drivers side wheel bearing New battery Upstream O2 sensors (only ones that do anything) Plugs Coils Valve cover gaskets Cam & crank sensors all done at the same time they were leaking and it was running rough not anymore! Fuel pumps & relays only 1 was bad but did both while in there you can have the old ones if you want! Front Tires (rear were brand new when I got it) Front & Rear Brake pads & sensors Front control arms (made a huge difference in the ride! ) Have the following new parts to be included Rear control arms & end links, front end links, front upper control arms not installed but included. A New tire that I bought but shop wouldn’t install because I didn’t buy it from them so it will come with the car as does a Full size 20in spare the tire isn’t great on it. Sirus amp was deleted with fiber optic loop since it wasn’t working and causing the radio not to work. This does give an error code on the radio when you turn it on you just click ok then the radio works great! I am selling this because I have 8 other vehicles and my plan to leave it in FL didn’t work since I had to bring it back up here. Have another Cayenne so no need to have two in New England, although they are hands down the best winter vehicle I’ve EVER driven! Great year round in any climate for that matter and the turbo is better than the non turbo all day without a doubt! My friend who owns a shop and I have put a lot of time into properly sorting this SUV. There are a few small items that you may or may not want to address. Everyone is different when it comes to their vehicles some want to drive them and drive them fast, some want concours some want in the middle. This car is not concours. It has some door pings and scratches. The rear bumper was repainted. There is a small rust spot on the drivers fender as pictured and small spot on the passenger rear door where the paint chipped that is surface rust that can be sanded and painted as an easy fix if you please definitely not rot on the door, or on any structural part of the car. The headliner is sagging. It has a ABS & Brake Booster light. The brakes work perfectly. They weren’t right before I replaced all the hard lines the pedal went to the floor because they were all cracked. Not sure if it’s a dealer reset code or not but I drive this car from CT to Boston without any issues. It has an intermittent Air Suspension light but everything works fine air suspension works lowers and raises the car as it should not sure what that is. The reverse lights don’t work on the aftermarket taillights, which doesn’t bother me but the factory ones will be included and they work fine on the factory taillights (they take 5 minutes to remove and reinstall on each side). Has a Check Engine light. Not sure why car pulls strong no misfires, no smoke, no burning oil, engine was extremely clean when I pulled the valve covers to do the gaskets and tune up. Lastly the drivers side front blinker doesn’t work. I try to describe every imperfection on a car that I know of because I’m an enthusiast who can do my own work and a lot of the times I do. I don’t want anyone having any surprises and I have references for other Porsche Sales that were much more expensive than this. Check my feedback and bid with confidence. I have receipts for all of the parts listed above except the drive shaft and maybe one of the tires. I probably forgot some of the maintenance I did but that’s the majority of it. I made custom cold air intakes for this because it makes working on it much easier than the stock air boxes which will be included with the car. I can put the stock airbox back on if the new owner wants. The custom intakes sound great! Please ask any and ALL questions PRIOR to bidding not after. High bidder gets it no questions cash in hand, or bank check. No PAYPAL. Clean MA title in hand and you get the North End parking sticker :-) Exterior Only structural rust is on the fender which is easily replaced and it’s at the very bottom most wouldn’t notice it. Some small pings and scratches that I tried to photograph. It’s a 16 year old Performance SUV that has been driven. Don’t expect a NEW $100k+ ride for $10,000! Interior Headliner is sagging in the back as pictured. No rips I’m aware of on the seats which are very comfortable and heated! Download the Motors app
