2005 Porsche Cayenne S Safari Available for purchase is my 2005 Porsche Cayenne S (V8) with approximately 162,250 miles. I own this vehicle outright and personally completed all the enhancements you see which has given it it"s own unique look. The vehicle is in great condition and runs very well with no major issues known (no check engine lights ever). This Cayenne is a conversation piece no matter where I go and I have enjoyed building and driving it. I installed and/or fabricated the following items: Eurowise 3” suspension lift kit with subframe drop to keep proper drivetrain angles. The vehicle is factory "steel spring" suspension versus the problematic air suspension found in other models. (5) Victor Equipment “Berg” off-road wheels (just released) in a factory white. These wheels are specific to the Cayenne. Victor Equipment offers two offset options, I went with the more aggressive offset. This vehicle was used on Victor Equipment"s social media to show their wheels. (5) Falken Wildpeak AT3 tires in a 275/70/18 (33.4” in size) Custom fabricated front off road protection bar with (4) Hella halogen off road lights and one pair of amber LED fog lights and ¼” thick aluminum skidplate. Custom fabricated rear swing out tire carrier with locking latch and heavy-duty spindle. Added center cross bars to the OEM roof rails and attached a set of off-road traction boards and a shovel with mounts (shovel not pictured) New micro CB radio and Firestik antenna Recent updates (since initial auction): New OEM Porsche shift knob ($225), new valve cover seals (a common issue), passenger side window regulator repair, new rear hatch & window shocks (4). ENGINE/DRIVETRAIN The naturally aspirated V8 starts and runs excellent. There are no leaks and no smoke. The transmission shifts smoothly, and the vehicle travels down the road, be it side streets or the highway, nice and straight. It accelerates nicely but due to the larger tires, there is a slight reduction in power. I t’s apparent the vehicle has been cared for during its life due to the overall condition it is in. Upon doing the recent valve cover gaskets, it was noted how clean the engine internals (head) were, an obvious sign of being cared for and having proper maintenance in it"s lifetime. There are no check engine lights, nor has there ever been since I have owned it. The vehicle runs where it should be temperature wise and has no overheating issues. A common issue with Cayennes are the plastic cooling pipes under the intake, this vehicle has the updated aluminum pipes (I have a photo) so no need to worry about these. INTERIOR The leather interior is in really good condition with a few wear and tear items for being sixteen years old. Brand new $225 OEM Porsche shift knob (old one had a small crack) (Not shown in pic - still has the old one). The vehicle doesn’t appear to have been smoked in and doesn’t have any odd odors or stains. The stereo works great but unfortunately is old enough to not be equipped with Bluetooth. In the upper panel (eyeglass holder), there is a Sirius/XM radio module, but I did not use or subscribe to the service in this car so I am unsure if it works. The power seats work great. The dash had its center display replaced with a new LCD panel, so messages are nice and vibrant without any pixels out (another common problem). All features operate as they should. Heater and A/C work as they should. No other issues known. The passenger side window regulator was acting up, it has since been repaired (some of the cable wheels needed to be cleaned and greased). The headliner towards the rear was sagging, I repaired (glued and took up the slack) it recently, it"s much better, but still slightly present (not has bad as shown in the pics). EXTERIOR Paint is shiny and in good condition. The paint overall is good condition except for a few minor scratches, and chips here and there from use. The top of the hood is showing the ever slightly sign of fading (probably from engine heat). The factory silver painted trim does have some fading in certain areas of the car. Glass is in good shape with no cracks. The headlights were recently polished (fading is a very common issue with these) and were coated with PPF (paint protection film). The HID headlights work as they should with no error codes. Vehicle will come with the factory original 19” wheels and tires as well if you want them. There’s not much tread left on the tires. I also have the lower front valance (with fog lights) that will be included. Since I went with larger (and more aggressive offset on wheels) tires, there is still very minor rubbing (only at full lock) in the front wheel well. This is just rubbing on plastic. It"s minor but I thought I would mention it. SUMMARY This is a great vehicle that is quite unique. Off-Road Cayennes are getting very popular these days but mine has it"s own unique look to it that gets compliments on it everywhere I drive it from all ages of people. There"s been some other recent examples selling at other auction sites for $35k. I own this vehicle and the state of Utah title is clean, clear, and in my name. The vehicle runs great but is still being sold “as is” with no warranties expressed or implied. Despite some mileage, it’s evident the car has been cared for previously and it’s safe to say any common issues with these cars has more than likely been taken care of already.
