Note to our buyers: Whether this is your first GTO or if you love them as we do ( we have 3) I hope I may share a bit of knowledge learned along the way so you will buy a quality gto and not get stuck.
Its easy to be swayed for GTOs with modifications to the engines as yes these cars are great platforms to really build a high Performance high horsepower vehicle. Alot of gtos you will find in the 12 to 16k range and one thing: are you buying another persons headache. Or how hard Was the vehicle driven with the modifications Upgrades. You absolutely do not want to get stuck having to replace the Motor in these cars. Most LS2 crate engines are 7 to 9k. Or the Alternative is a junkyard used engine thats 3 to 6k after install. What I am trying to relay is you get what you pay for. And these cars are an absolute joy to drive and own. Even the best Mechanic would rather not be trying to fix issues on these gtos. Please take this as just words of wisdom. Whether you like this one or find another there"s a saying: caveat emptor. Thats Latin for buyer beware. Do your due diligence. Have it checked over.
