Hello and thank you for looking! I have a beautiful Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works low mileage convertible with automatic transmission for sale. It is a very unique shade of blue (I"ve never seen another) with dark blue top and blue interior with red stitching. It is a John Cooper Works edition, so it has a number of upgrades, including interior trim, exterior trim, and very cool black wheels with red trim - there is red trim here and there throughout, which spices it up nicely. The car is extremely well taken care of, and as far as I know absolutely everything works exactly as it should - except the transmission. About 100 miles ago I got a check engine light and immediately had the Mini dealer check it out. Their opinion, and the opinion of another Mini specialist in town is that the transmission needs to be replaced - that there is a problem with the control system, not the physical mechanism. They tell me that they cannot replace only the control system, which doesn"t make perfect sense to me, but. . So the symptom since the light came on is that the car won"t shift into the highest gear on a regular basis - sometimes it does, and it drives perfectly. Sometimes it does not, and the car is rev-limited to about 40 mph. Anyway, I hate to part with it - it has been a fixture in our family, but my cash needs do not include replacing the transmission. If you have access to a transmission, or have the wherewithal to repair the transmission, you will LOVE this car. I get comments on the way it looks ALL THE TIME, and it handles like a go-kart, very fun to drive!
