Vehicle description
SUPER clean 2005 Mini Cooper S. This car is serious fun to drive and the 6-speed manual transmission and supercharged engine have loads of power and life to go!
All maintenance is up-to-date and oil changes (10W-30) were done every 3,000 miles for the life of the car with records to show. All mechanical/maintenance was done by an ASE Certified Mechanics Shop in Redwood City, Ca. With the last oil change, I also had fresh spark plugs along with new tires/alignment done on the car so there is literally NOTHING for the new owner to do except change the oil every 3k miles.
EVERYTHING WORKS: A/C blows cold, heater, heated seats on both passenger/driver sides, power locks/windows, panoramic roof and Bluetooth enabled. The car has a GREAT sound system too! I recently installed some rally-style fog lamps as well.
I used this car as my daily driver (Palo Alto - Menlo park/Atherton town-driving with the occasional trip up to SF) and she has never failed me. I have heard horror stories regarding the reliability of Mini"s but this is clearly not one of them. I"m a strong believer in regular maintenance and responsible driving and my car is evidence of just that.
The car recently passed smog with ease and has 2020 tags until September.
I kept the car extremely clean inside and out and no animals of any kind were ever in the car. I am the third owner, I believe. The person I bought it from purchased this car from the dealership back in 2006, a year after it was released. I am only selling her because I am planning to move.
One issue I got the car with is a small tear in the seam of the driver"s side. Since I had it, the seam has not opened up any further but is a minor aesthetic issue nonetheless. I had a shop quote me $100 to restitch it but I didn"t feel it was necessary. Another annoyance is that oil will drip from the oil filter housing after oil changes. This is common with Mini engines because of the placement of the oil filter housing at the back of the motor; so when oil changes are done, the oil will spill over the back of the engine as the filter is replaced. Some British engineering for ya. I just asked my mechanic to please wipe that away during oil changes and I didn"t really see much oil in my driveway after that. Other than that, she is great!
SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. CASH and local meet-ups only.
Thanks for reading & please reach out if I have not covered something!
