Vehicle description
This is a Mazda RX-8 with 3 owners including myself. I"ve only owned the car for a few months using it as a daily driver, and now I am moving so I"d rather sell it that ship it across the country. This car has been fully tuned up with new belts, new synthetic oil, oil filter, NGK iridium spark plugs, MSD sparkplug wires, GM LS ignition coils, custom coil bracket. I have not observed any leaks since buying it. It"s ready to go. Performance
Since owning the car I have not had any problems at all. The 1.3L rotary engine is quiet, buttery smooth, runs strong, and is suprisingly fun to drive. The upgraded GM LS ignition coils along with new MSD sparkplug wires and NGK iridium sparkplugs helped smooth out the powerband, making this car a pleasure to drive. Brakes
The brakes on this car work well but should be replaced if you plan to do a lot of driving. Fortunately, I purchased a set of Centric rotors and EBC Greenstuff brake pads but I did not have a chance to install them myself, so I will include them with the car for the next buyer to install. Centric rotors + EBC pads is a very good for all kinds of driving styles. I have had these on my other cars and they"re excellent. Handling
This car handles very well and feels light and nimble. It is very fun to drive because of this. The 6-speed manual transmission shifts without issue and there are no problems with the clutch slipping or anything of that sort. The tires were replaced by previous owner and have a lot of tread left on them. Exterior Condition
In terms of visual condition, the car is mostly clean considering it has had 2 owners previous to me and 113K miles. There are a few dings and dents, along with scratches on some of the exterior, and there are specks on the front bumper (see photo). The wheels look a little odd because they were "plasti-dipped" by the previous owner. Plastidip can be removed using WD40 as a cleaner if you want to reveal the original silver wheels. There is some rust along the wheel wells, which is apparently a common problem, but for a cheap daily driver it"s a non-issue. Interior Condition
The interior of this RX-8 is decent. The carpet is worn on the drivers side where the foot pedals are, and it could probably benefit from a new set of floormats if you really want to nitpick. Besides that, no problems. No tears in any of the seating, no broken switches or knobs and no funky smells. The windows and sunroof work fine. Disclaimer
This vehicle is being SOLD AS-IS, WITH NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED . I"ve disclosed everything I know about the car to the best of my ability. Car is located about 30 minutes north of Philadelphia, off route 309. Pickup only. Cash is preferred.
