2005 Maybach 62 Exterior Color: SILVER Transmission: Automatic Fuel Type: Gasoline Fuel Engine: 5.5L V12 SOHC 36V Title Condition: Clear Vehicle Description Wilhelm Maybach was an engineer who worked to develop combustion engines in the early 1880"s. The first Maybach automobile, called Daimler-Maybach, were typically very large, powerful, and luxurious. The Maybach brand name was reintroduced in 2002 by DaimlerChrysler AG to be direct competition to BMW"s top vehicle, the Rolls-Royce Phantom. The specific ultra-luxurious model 62 is built with a chauffeur in mind. The electric seats are equipped with a reclining function, as well as front and rear seat massage and . . heated cupholders.
The Maybach 57 (chassis no. W240) and 62 (chassis no. V240) were the first automobile models of the Maybach brand. They are derived from the Benz Maybach concept car presented at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show. The concept car was based on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan. The models ceased production in 2013, due to continued financial losses for the marque, and sales at one-fifth the level of the profitable Rolls-Royce models.
