I am selling my 2005 Lotus Elise. The Elise is a rocket and turns heads everywhere. I am the third owner and have taken lovingly good care of it and am responsible for approximately half of its mileage. I have never tracked this car and do not believe it has ever been tracked. I have never driven this car hard, only treated it like my baby for as long as I have owned it. The stripes are the first thing you notice on this Elise. The original owner had them professionally painted and the paint shop did a first-rate job—the stripes line up laser-perfect over all the panels from nose to tail. Included is a matching factory hard top and the soft top. The paint shop applied Star Shield over the front to the car and along the sides of the car, so it was applied over the stripes after they were painted. This treatment has kept the paint in quite nice condition. The Elise has always been garaged. A/C and heater work correctly. Has Passport Qi45 radar detector professionally installed very inconspicuously near steering column with the sensors near the front and rear of the car and this system works very well. There are three sets of carpet mats including a rubber hex mat set that fits perfectly. Oil cooler line recalls were completed at dealer in 2013. As is common, the driver’s side sun visor has been loose since before I purchased the Elise and I could not figure out how to fix it so it is held up with some Velcro. This Lotus has an upgraded Kenwood stereo with iPod connectivity and new Kenwood speakers that were installed recently. Both factory sets of keys are there although the rubber piece on one fob is broken, but a quick eBay search shows that replacement pieces are readily available and inexpensive. Original owner’s manual and toolkit is included along with a factory service manual in PDF. The Touring package on this car includes leather seats and leather door panels, power windows and power door locks. There are some cracks in the fiberglass here and there, but none of the cracks have grown since I have owned the car and are very difficult to see and photograph. At the front of the car there are some cracks where the license plate would go, see pictures, and there are three very small cracks in the rear section of the car, also in the pictures. I know of no other fiberglass imperfections. The Elise has had regular oil changes and new iridium spark plugs about 2,000 miles ago. Rear tires are okay and front tires are good—I installed two new Continental tires on the front 2,000 miles ago. The wheels are the original Lotus 16” front and 17” rear rims in good condition with very few nicks and no curb rash. The Lotus Elise is a perfectly focused sports car and is the ultimate joy to drive. I have moved onto other things in my life and it is time for it to go to the next owner who will enjoy and cherish it as I have.
