I found this Town Car in 2014 with 19,000 miles on it. I have since very gently run the mileage up to just over 36,000. When I purchased the car, I replaced all of the fluids, bought new tires, added high quality tinting, and have maintained synthetic oil changes and tire rotations since. New high end battery in February of 2017. If you know these cars, you know that the drivetrain is virtually identical to the Crown Victoria, and limo and taxi services regularly put 200,000 to 400,000 miles on them. The one weak spot on the Town Car is the rear self-adjusting air bag suspension. I had mine taken out and replaced with traditional springs, so this extremely reliable car will not leave you stranded with deflated air-bags. The ride and handling remained exactly the same in my opinion. This 12 year old car has a few cosmetic flaws, which you can see in the pics. It had some similar paint issues as those in the pics on the roof and hood, which I had re-done with a lifetime guarantee. The pictured spots have popped up since and can be re-done by any reputable paint shop for very little money. (I have a great body/paint guy if you are local). Being a 12 year old car, little gremlins sometimes pop up (the passenger rear door lock sometimes gets stubborn, the cruise control buttons are a little sticky), but mechanically I would drive this car comfortably across the country tomorrow. I have records of the work and maintenance I’ve done since the 19k miles, and a clear Florida title in my name.
