If you buy one of these vehicles with 100,000 or more miles (particularly 03-08) that still has the original motor,air suspension system,power running boards,power sunroof,liftgate,ect,be prepared to spend a TON of money on common issues you will experience with all the above,regardless of how well it was maintained! This happens to be one of the nicest,cleanest Navigators you"ll ever see,inside and out. I Just invested almost 5,000.00 on replacing the original motor that recently failed with a complete upgraded (all common flaws redesigned and corrected) Ford remanufactured long block engine built by AER manufacturing at their Carrollton,Tx plant which does all of Fords 5.4 Triton 3 valve engine remanufacturing for Ford(look them up online). It was also installed in a clean,professional establishment by a certified Ford technician. Includes all new engine,installation,and warranty paperwork,along with my 5 yrs of service records. The cam phasers on the original 5.4 3 valve motors often go bad(happened to this one at 109K miles,get a noisy clicking sound,check engine light will come on and come right back on after you clear the code,and it will not pass any emissions test at inspection due to timing issues and installing new ones will only be a 1500.00 TEMPORARY fix,(go online and see for yourself,I found out the hard way). Air suspension system issues will also show up,such as bad seals,cracks,air regulators,relays,levelers,pump,ect and cost $1500-3,000.00 (go online and you"ll see this too). The air suspension system on this one started crashing 6 months after I bought it,and after I read all the $$$ horror stories online about trying to fix this common issue,I got a set of 4 conversion struts specially designed for these vehicles and had them installed (600.00 total,and still rides like a Lincoln). With the new engine swap,I added new top and bottom radiator hoses,thermostat,water pump,serpentine belt,and ignition coil packs. I bought another Navagator 5 yrs newer the day after the engine crashed in this one (broken spark plug shattered a piston,a big piece of it knocked a hole in the block). I was very happy to find the air suspension system on the 2010 had also been converted to struts when I had the tires rotated. I have and always will love these vehicles,regardless of their issues. Too nice and clean for the wrecking yard or crusher,I felt compelled to do what I did for this 05 Gator. I will gladly keep it and have 2 Gators if it doesn"t sell soon! I am the 3rd owner,it"s never been in an accident,never had hail damage or been repainted. All body panels line up perfect,it"s never been around salt so there"s no rust,spent most of its life garaged,so there is no faded interior or oxidized paint . Its factory tow package shows no signs of ever being used. 150,000 mile maintenance free sealed 6 speed transmission was serviced last year,and still shifts strong. Cold A/C,the 6 disc CD changer and everything else is good. Has 20" black/brushed aluminum alloy wheels with Lincoln emblems on the center caps(see pic). Has 4 almost brand new Pirelli Scorpions(800.00 set of 4 with 2 different wheel locks per wheel,both lock lug keys provided at pickup) and a full sized unused spare tire. Has added chrome accents on outer door handles,mirrors,tail pipe,and tail lights,as well as added matching burlwood interior trim from front to back. .Has heavy duty Rubbermaid floor mats over the clean original mats,carpet shows almost no signs of wear,whatsoever. No cracked,faded or torn leather(slightly worn driver seat bottom was replaced with new leather last year). 2 keys with 2 remotes,owners manual,and clean,clear Texas title. You will have a hard time trying to find a nicer,cleaner, better running 05-06 Navigator than this one ANYWHERE! US buyers ONLY.
