I"ve have loved,enjoyed,and babied this beautiful truck for 5 years,and am only it"s 3rd owner with a clean clear title . I drove this vehicle no more than 7500 average miles a year,and so did the 2 previous owners. The familiar air suspension system nightmare happened 6 months after I bought it,and I bypassed all that $$$ crap with conversion struts and it still has the same smooth ride. The other day the engine made a loud popping sound along with a puff of smoke as I was accelerating to get on the highway. .After getting it to my mechanic who is a certified Ford tech that owns the shop where it now sits,I was told there is a small hole in the block right behind the motor mount and it"s gonna need another engine. I just cannot afford a motor at this time and have to depend on having a dependable vehicle which the 2005 had been until now. I was able to find and finance another Gator 5 years newer just as clean with 95k miles with a small down payment thanks to good credit. You won"t find a cleaner,straighter 05 Navigator anywhere and I"m totally stunned and saddened about what suddenly happened to such a nice,well cared for vehicle! I love this truck,and may figure out a way to keep and fix it and have 2, if I don"t get a serious buyer within a week or so.
