Vehicle description
Volkswagen Jetta . Condition is Used.
I have owned this car for seven years. Run well except that the TURBO WENT OUT. Due to my age I have given up MK4 repair as I"ve owned five together as I love the MK4. The engine starts immediately, and runs smooth. Of course it is sluggish now and give error code on Vagcom of a sensor, Wires tied back for trouble shooting. The interior is poor and as all of these in Florida, the cloth comes off the headliner and door trim. In the last year I put on a NEW rack and pinion, inner tie rods, axles both sides and all wheel bearings. The whole front end in other words. Also new brakes and disks.
I had timing belt replaced at 85K when I purchased this car. (includes water pump and all). I replaced the duel pump (vacuum and fuel) about a year ago. The auto roof does not work. Air and all works fine. New fans when I did the pump. Tires are near new as shown. Transmission is a Jatco Timtronic. 09A and Trans oil changed every 30K and relay valves (9) replaced and upgraded to Bosh. Shifts smoothly.
Body has the normal "rash" a 15 year old car would. See all picks. Except for the turbo going out, this car would give you many years of service. Oil and filter every 5k. If I didn"t still have two more, that my wife and I use, I would attempt to pull the turbo but at my age of 76, I"m done. The two other MK4"s will last longer than I and I don"t need another "hobby".
Any questions, feel free to ask. There are many things I"ve put in just for fun and to make it perfect. I"m Mary"s Hubby BTW.
