This machine is in amazing condition, im listing it for a friend. He has spared no expense to care and maintain this beautiful rare jeep unlimited. And this has been his pride and joy, hes only selling due to life style change and moving out of state. This LJ is the true duel purpose machine. Great daily driver, drive it across the country with out issues. Trail machine, this thing can handle the toughest trails and obstacles.
The one thing that sets this machine apart from all others, the suspention! This machine was sent to a profesional Ultra4 Off road race Team (Mistress Racing and off road) to have a custom designed linked suspension installed. This set up and design criteria was different than most. Keep it low, but have a suspension that can handle any terrain. And perform. They nailed it with this machine, this thing is indescribable how well it works in all conditions. On the street it rides beter than any factory jeep i been in, feels like a corvette or BMW on the street, very responsive and maneuverable, yet extremely comfortable. Off road at high speeds this thing is handles and feels like a side by side. And will have no problems keeping up with any atv in rough off road conditions even at high speeds. The link design was set up to transfer weight to aid in cornering. Link placment also was set up in such a fasion to allow for maximum suspension flex and articulation yet not bind steering or drive lines. The front is a wish bone design with the passenger side upper link that disconnects. Rear suspension is a triangulated 4 link. All joints are greesable and rebuildable. Rubber isolation joint on axle and Summit machine Flex joints on the chassis. Artec truss installed on the rear Dana 44 rear axle to allow for the 4 link design.
The jeep retained all the origonal drive train. And only 1.5” of lift, 33” BFG KM2 tires were installed and factry flares trimmed for tire clearence. Procomp shocks were installed. Rear axle is a Dana 44 with 3.73 gears and a LSD locker. Front axle is a dana 30 with 3.73 gears and oppen diff. The transmission is a NSG 370 6 speed manual. Engine is the iconic inline 6 4.0 high output, with performace tuned exhaust. The jeep has added cage to the passenger compartment and rock sliders to keep the body in good shape. With the exception of a pioneer stereo the interior remains factory. The top is a best top frameless fast back top thats easy to remove and looks great. All the modifications to this jeep has been made in the last year. Everything from suspension to tires and shocks all have less than 6k miles on them since the installation and transformation of the suspension. This thing drives amazing, and looks as good as new, the only defects i could see on this whole machine was a little ding in the passenger door, a small crack on the drivers door panel, and a paint repair on top of the drivers fender. Everything works great, and there is no known issues with the jeep. This machine definatly is in amazing condition, and works and performs as good as it looks. You could take this machine to a red carpet event and look good parked next to a corvette or rally race it up pikes peak, or hit the toughest trails at moab. Or drive it coast to coast. If you want a jeep that does it all this is the machine!
