Vehicle description
Hello. Thanks for stopping to have a look. I"m re-listing this at a lower price.
I"m selling my 2005 Infiniti FX35. This vehicle has spent the past 7 years in California, and recently come back to Indiana. I"m selling it, as I"ve recently purchased a new vehicle and no longer have a need for this one, or the room to keep it.
First, the things you should know (to save you time if you"re looking for a perfect vehicle). It"s in reasonable shape, with some flaws and manufacturer defects. It"s never been in a major accident, but has bumped a parking corbel once or twice, and it shows on the body. Nothing super major, and if you"re handy, you can probably pull it out and buff it. One of the rear door handles has come off, and I believe I still have it with the vehicle, though it"s busted so you would need to replace it completely if it"s a requirement for you. Also, some of the locks stick from time to time on the rear doors and hatch. It also seems there"s a short or burned out crossover for the front tweeters, as one seems to be blown or getting more frequencies than it should, and will occasionally pop. The rest of the system (subs, etc) are fine. The steering wheel adjustment (up and down) will sometimes stick, but once you set your position in memory, shouldn"t be an issue for you. Finally, the manufacturer defect. . If you know anything about this vehicle, you may be aware that there was a defect with the dashboard, that due to whatever adhesive they used at some point, the vinyl ended up bubbling up on the dash. It"s purely cosmetic, but it"s right there out in the open.
Now, with all of that out of the way, let"s talk about what is good with this vehicle.
The engine has been regularly serviced. For most of it"s life, it"s been used on the highway, with an estimated split between highway/city being about 80%/20%. The tires still have a good bit of life left on them, as well as the brakes, so no issues there. The engine still runs strong, and has just recently gotten a tune up, with new plugs. Even before this tune up, it would still go if you put your foot down. With the exception of what I"ve mentioned above, all of the electrical features work well, including the heated seats, mirror adjustments, AM/FM/CD/TAPE/XM, AC/Heat, wipers, auto headlights (and adjustment), traction control, interior lights, moonroof, etc.
Finally, for a midwestern vehicle, I will put this out there. There is no rust. While this car hasn"t lived it"s whole life in CA, it"s lived and worked there long enough (the past 7 years) to have longevity you may not find in other vehicles in the area.
This vehicle would probably make an excellent first car for a teenager, a good vehicle for someone who wants to keep the miles down on their primary car, an around town beater, commuter, winter beater, etc. It"s been a great vehicle for me, gotten me through many long trips, and served me well over the past 9+ years that I"ve owned it. I"m sure that with the proper maintenance, it will probably serve it"s new owner just as well.
Cash or certified funds on pickup. All pickup/delivery arrangements are the responsibility of the purchaser. I have the title in hand. Please feel free to contact with any questions, and I will answer them to the best of my ability.
Note, the reports listed on this car for number of owners is wrong. There was 1 owner prior to my ownership. At the time I purchased it, it had ~8000 miles on it. So basically I"ve owned it since it was "new."
