FOR SALE IS OUR 2005 HYUNDAI ELANTRA 5 DOOR GT HATCHBACK.
122,400 miles, well maintained, recently inspected. Runs very well. Purchased from original owner, 4 years ago- now have an SUV and no longer need this car. Has had regular maintenance, + full synthetic oil changes. every 4000 miles or sooner. Recent front brakes, front ball joints, front tires excellent, rears passed inspection but will likely need to be replaced next year. This Elantra has always had a slight clutch chatter when engaging first gear at times, since we"ve owned it. Clutch itself is strong though - no slippage and shifts nicely in all gears.
Runs nicely engine smooth, strong clutch, 5 speed - very enjoyable to drive. Great on gas. Sunroof , leather interior (no tears) air conditioning, heater, all work. Two of the electric windows only work from their own control - not the main driver control. Engine light is on. Air conditioner may need a charge. We did it last year and it held all summer, but can"t guarantee that it won"t need another charge this coming summer.
Body is in good shape overall but was dinged up by a hailstorm 2 years ago. Some repairs to the small dents but I would say - done poorly. Some dings were covered, some remain. I could not capture this in the pics. Looks great in pics and from a few feet away . . but can see imperfections up close - on the hood mostly. Rear of car and sides - paint look good. Had it painted by Maaco 4 months ago. Again, I would say overall a poor paint job. That said, body well protected,- urethane paint job.
All in all, if you want a reliable dependable, inexpensive car - ready to take you anywhere and not too fussy about the bodywork, . . then this is great choice. Many years of life left in this car!
